Good morning all G'day Pat And many Happy Returns of the Day Pdoc
Tinygardengirl - we have extended family members and friends who are Muslim and we know that the people who commit these terrible acts are not representitive of all Muslims. Sadly throughout the ages there have been people of many faiths who have mis-used their religion to do wicked acts for political purposes.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us ((hugs)). The future of the world must be about the things we share rather than the things that divide us.

That's it in a nutshell Hosta.....and it' s what we all have to believe. If there's anything good to be taken from what's happened, it's the stories of those who went to help. As a parent - the thought of someone walking past my child when they were in need is the one that comes to my mind. The man in Hosta's queue is the kind of person I'd want to be around, or have in my life.
Welcome TGG - I think I've seen you on other threads.
Morning to everyone else and afties Pat - lovely pic. No blue skies here unfortunately.
Happy Birthday doc - sorry I managed to miss yours Clari. Let's all eat cake - it's a hard job, but someone has to take it on.
Better go and get organised for work. I'm all behind, like the coo's tail. I've not read back but I'll try and catch up later. Today's going to be a full on one I think. Have as good a day as possible, everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning - and what a warm & sunny one it is as well. A day for getting on with heavier tasks and then finding a lounger in the shade I think - unfortunately mine won't be like that - have to go to town this afternoon.
Welcome to this thread TGG. People are people - simple as. A person's faith or religion doesn't make them good or bad anymore than the colour of their eyes or their hair does. There are people out there with a warped perspective, who twist writings and speech to justify their own sick actions - whether it be paedophiles, terrorists or other wrong doers.
I don't think there is any religion which advocates the murder of innocent people going about their daily business and certainly not the slaughter of children enjoying a fun night out.
The world is a slightly more frightening place today, but it won't stop me or the vast majority of people going about our business as usual. But maybe I'll smile a little more and try to be a little kinder - just to show those bast**ds that they won't win.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
HI all, don't often have time to visit here, hosat, I worked in retail for 20+ years, I was a make up artist on cosmetic dept, I was asked to measure a lady for a maternity bra....Re the horrendous events in Manchester ( at the arena where my husband is due to go next week, and my best friend was there sunday with her 2 young children) these evil creatures hide behind their 'religion' it is not really waht any religion would say these low lifes just try to twist it to excuse their unbelievable actions
Anyone who makes judgements about others based on what they are rather than what they do will get short shrift from me, I'm afraid. Why anyone would think that murdering children will ever achieve any political goal is baffling.
Peace and strength to the people of Manchester.
Sun is shining here this morning and I managed to get most of my work done yesterday when it was drizzling, so I'm going to risk planting out a few hardy and half hardy annuals today in the hope of a more cheerful view by the end of the day.
Hope everyone has a better day today
