Been awake since five, so been catching up with Hinterland.
Lovely to see you doc - and almost in one piece. Try and keep it that way
Went walking yesterday after work so wasn't home till half eight. Very thundery on way back although it didn't really rain till later, and we've had some rain overnight. Everything looks nice and fresh.
That final slap in the face tells you everything you need to know Clari. Well done for getting out and getting on.
I'll have a look round now with yet another cuppa
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Ive had to resort to the tumble dryer now that its nearly 5pm and the light is going. I'm only finishing off the flannelette sheets and hubbyies shirts. The rest has been hung on drying racks in the visitors bedroom. We've got a feeling that we might get a visit tonight. She has been to a caving conference in NZ for the last couple of weeks and her car was at her Mothers place this morning. Is that a symbol for gritting ones teeth? Never mind there's nothing much on TV that we are not recording, so I'll sit here and either knit or colour-in while she chats on.
Never seen either of those on that hill before Dove. It was a lovely little surprise. Ptarmigan are not usually that far south
The camouflage is astonishing on birds - he tucked right in against the rocks when he realised I was there, and if you didn't know he was there, you'd never have seen him. Isn't nature clever?

I can just imagine Pat! Village life ?! If you are seen entering the doctors surgery in this village you could be in the cemetery by the end of the day!
fairy the ptarmigan is almost invisible!
we are having much needed rain and the garden will benefit. As long as it goes off for tomorrow?
must read back properly
have a good day

Sounds the same as here Lilyp. The worst one is the woman who works at the tip and she's not only eager to spread news before anyone else, but she almost invariably gets it wrong!

Good morning Fairy
have a lovely weekend.
It strikes me that Clari's ex employers struggled with the fact that she was better at the job than they were at theirs ...
Just watched a single swan fly past the bedroom window towards the marshes
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'd agree with that Dove....and they don't like that!
I had some nice company on the hill yesterday. Apart from the runner who does ultra marathons....
...these two were a little surprise
I was upwind of the deer, so it was slightly surprising it didn't scarper much more quickly than it did. It was only a few hundred feet away.

I agree the photo of the bird is magic.
