Hi Pat - glad you like them  image

I loved your sky ones - our sky looked a bit like that yesterday - but no rainbows!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.

I'm going to meet my new GD today. Had a call from son yesterday. They had thought DIL's mother would be coming but she and her OH dropped in at the hospital to see the new baby and announced they were off to the mountains for a long weekend in their holiday mansion. They are French aristocrats. Son has to work on Monday and Tuesday, important meetings and he will be managing director in July. They have 2 little girls and DIL won't be out of hospital until Wednesday. In France new Mums stay in hospital for 4 days. So I'm off in a couple of hours, it's a 5 hour drive.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Clari dogs dont usually like travelling in a roof box ☹️

Ha ha! I meant the roof box for our stuff. We never travel light; and its usually all stuff for the hound. Dogs always travel securely in the boot or occasionally the back seat.

Grumpy has had 9 hours sleep, bacon, and installed himself on the confortable chair. It's looking like a grey day today.

Lovely news about new GD Lizzie, and what a pretty name image. Looks like you are in at the deep end for the next few days image

Hope Nut's garden opening goes well (not sure if she looks in here).

it is our village's open garden weekend starting today.  I'm just off to man the ticket office for a couple of hours, then will have a look round myself.  Taking the bike, as its quite a walk from one end of the village to another image

Morning all.  Feels a bit "tropical-rain-forest" here - 94% humidity, very warm.  The garden loves it even if I don't...

Hope Mr Clari is feeling more himself this morning!

Have a lovely day, BL.  Hope you get lots of cuddles.  image

I've started a "Chelsea Photos 2017" thread, in the Potting Shed section.  No time to post mine yet - maybe this afternoon...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Oh - apologies BL - I knew there was something else I'd meant to say recently  image

Congrats on the new arrival. Lovely name - very pretty image

I missed nut mentioning she had an open day - don't think she ever comes on this thread though, chicky. Hope it all goes well for her. Enjoy yours - hope the weather stays fair. Remember your bicycle clips....image

    Hello everyone image

I am ensconced on the sofa and I have had a hair wash thanks to wonderful OH being inventive and patient 'cos at the moment I can't get into the bath and our shower is an over bath one image I feel much more human now image I've even 'got my face on' image

Bless him, he says he'll plant my runner beans today too ....... I'm glad we put the canes up last weekend.

We have a piece of gammon so he'll put that in the slow cooker in a bit, add some onions, potatoes and carrots half way through and he'll pick the first of the broad beans and some parsley ... I can prep the beans on my lap and then he'll learn to make his first ever parsley sauce image image image I shall be shouting instructions from the sofa image

She does sometimes look in here but I think she's probably doing other things this weekend image

although as Eddie Izzard (among others) has pointed out, the sort of plans that mice make is an interesting question....

Hope the parsley sauce goes well.

And hope Nut's Open Gardens days go well too image. Shame i'm the wrong end of the country.

Sun is shining here for now - best get out there as I don't think it's going to last
