    Good evening all,

Congratulations Lizzie, this must be the last addition, for this generation anyway? Christmas is going to be fun. imageimage

Glad to hear you are being well looked after Dove. image

Nice to see Bushman back, around the same time as me too, don't be starting any gossip though, I have only ever had virtual bear hugs from him, nothing more. image

I've had a lovely week-end with Charlie, visited a super coastal resort, quite astonishing, largest sand dune in Europe. We climbed to the top via a stairway, then ran all the way down to the ocean without a care as to how we would get back up, forgetting our bathing things in the process, just went in fully clothed and air dried on the climb back up. Great fun. Hopefully the link below will work. image

Busy day tomorrow signing documents and suchlike, these French certainly like their paperwork, in triplicate. image

It's been very hot here and storm forecast for Thursday, enjoying the sun but working all week so maybe not so much then. image It does seem to be a good excuse for a nice cool apero around 6pm though. image

Good evening all, hope to catch up again tomorrow. image

Hi everyone. A cloudy but warm, humid day here - just right for some light duties and then sitting out with teas and coffees with the 'out-laws'.

I think the garden feel is turning to a Summer mood now - all green with pops of colour and fast growth.

Hosta: some of the posts are just like the queries I have from work colleagues  - "I've got a north facing garden full of rubble, weeds and slugs and want to make it a Tropical paradise by next week... and I don't have money, tools or time". ?

My garden and I live in South Wales.

I've managed to read back in time to wish everyone a good night. Unusual for me to be awake so early.

hope you have an undisturbed night Joyce.

    Hostafan1 says:

Is it my imagination, or are we getting a lot of " I've got this problem, what can I do with it? I've got no money and can't do any of the work " kinda topics?

We  have many skills, but I'm unaware of anyone with a magic wand.

its summer and suddenly people are discovering this unused space on their property. Happens every year!

I think you're right, Clari - it's connected with everything growing very fast and people's gardens suddenly looking like a wilderness.  I blame TV for giving folk the idea they can get results without breaking sweat, though.

Chicky, I'm with you on the guilt of throwing away perfectly good seedlings.  I feel I have to apologise to them as I put them on the compost heap...  image

So far I'm not having trouble posting photos from my phone so that's what I'm doing (for the Chelsea photos thread, for instance).  They upload automatically onto Google Photos (don't ask me how, I think it's magic!) and appear to be not too big to be posted from there onto the forum.  Photos taken with my proper camera are more of a problem at the moment.

Hope you all have a peaceful night.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I arrived at the hospital to visit baby Elise around 6.30pm, later than I meant. There was loads of traffic on the motorway, more like the M25 than the A20! 20 minutes of almost static jam too. I was late leaving because other son and DIL turned up with their new baby and 2 little boys with presents for his brother and SIL. Had to pack in a rush and didn't eat the snack lunch I'd planned.

Finally ate at 10pm with Son 1. His 2 little daughters were so excited by the arrival of their sister and were even excited because Granny (me) was coming to stay that they were a real handful this evening and didn't want to go to bed.

Had a good long cuddle with Elise in hospital. She was wide awake, not crying and very interested in everything around her. Her sisters were jumping on the bed with their little cousin.

Photos - If I have several to share I load them onto an album with Photobucket and just post a link.   No need to reduce size and the loading can run in the background while I do other stuff, like researching plants and their needs or doing something elsewhere like planting or sanding or painting.

Busy - .Sounds hectic but lovely for you to see so many of your favourite people.   Elise is a lovely name.

Bedtime for me.   Feeling weary and we're expecting more thundery storms o probably another wakeful night.

    Sweet dreams all.

But when Internet is slow I can't look at Photobucket links. I've said before I have missed a lot of Berghill's photos and some of yours.
