Beaus Mum, if you are about, I've sent you a message with a photo for the Malvern show using the old and new formats, but one photo looks huge to me and the other is distorted sideways so I look very fat and the photo isn't all on the page. I'm not slim, but not that fat either!
Very glad to hear you home but sorry you can't sit down! You have had us all a bit worried about you. Your OH very kindly told us you had gone and all of us commend you for your beliefs but will you now please just go and do some gardening!!!!

Good to see you Punkdoc. I've been watching the news each night to see if there was another buildup, but the news casts have been strangely quiet on the whole subject of Syria. A bit of a useless habit to watch since I didn't know precisely where you were, but I'm very glad you're back even if your punctured in a few places. Very happy to know you're back in cold England.
Our autumn has been more winter-like than it should be, but I think everyone is experiencing strange weather patterns around the world. Would like some rain, but it's cold enough that the plants aren't affected by dryness. Our dams are down to very low levels, but since we don't have livestock anymore, the Roos and other wildlife can get what they want.
Good morning all Good to have you back Pdoc We do understand - but we understand your wife's feelings too. Now Im sure there's some pricking out and potting on for you to do - you'll have to do it standing up!
We've had some light rain overnight - it's stopped - don't know whether that's the lot or whether there's more to come ... has there been enough to water in the weed & feed?
Ah! The weather man says heavier showers late today (possible hail). That'll do the job but I'll make sure I've got the tomatoes back under cover by then
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
We've got rain forecast for the weekend too, Dove. I'll believe it when I see it. I DID do one load of washing today just in case.
My veggie garden beds look so strange with almost everything reefed out, but I might get out there tomorrow and spread some good stuff over all of the beds so that the worms have something to keep them busy all winter.

Hi BL just replied to your pm
hi everyone
off to the Malvern show tomorrow, very excited
hope you're all well and will tell you all about it when I'm back home xx
Beausmum and BusyL, have a lovely time at Malvern tomorrow! Plant confessions must be posted to be forgiven!
Thank you WW x
Hi.
I am back, rather earlier than planned, due to some exploding glass and some lacerations to my posterior.
Very hot out there, 30C, ideal for a bit of sun bathing [ Apocalypse Now style ] , but no fun in the trauma room with no air conditioning.
Now need to earn some brownie points with OH, who quite reasonably is not happy, although does seem quite pleased to see me.
Hope you are all well.

As LP said, the garden beckons

Hi.
Just had coffee outside, listening to the birds. We are so lucky to live in this country, even if it does not always seem so.
Greenhouse all in order, OH has surpassed herself. Nice to see all the Dahlias sprouting.
Now need a few days solid gardening to catch up, lucky I don't work for a living.
