can I ask if anyone who grows succulents have they used simply succulents to buy from. The few succulents I have were taken from other people's as cuttings but this web site has a couple I would like to add to my Delosperma cooperi. I hate buying plants from unknown sites so does anyone have any recommendations or info on simply succulents. I am after Delosperma sphalmanthoides and Delosperma Sutherlandii peach star.
They're sssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooo nervous as they specialise in Asiatic Primulas and the warm spell a wee while back started everything off too early.
They're not big enough to have access to "cold storage" options.
I didn't , I skirted round the edge, creeping along at 30/40 mph, 7 miles of road works on the A30 for the fourth year running, and the whole of Bodmin town roads up!
I was Cornwall bound.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Just back from dance class. Very aerobic with an hour of non stop Paso Doble, Cuban Bolero and Samba., They were talking about the Saints Glaces - 3 Saint's days on 11th, 12th and 13th of May after which there should, in theory, be no more frosts. Good.
Desperate to get toms outside but haven't dared. As it is, one of my hamamelis planted in the shade/foliage bed has been badly frosted but everything else, including the other two hamamelis still in pots up next to the house, is all OK. The tiny 4" high clem I found struggling under weeds last July has grown 4 strong stems and several feet and has had loads of big fat flower buds for 2 weeks now but they refuse to open while it stays cold and wet.
Relaxing now with a glass of wine and Great British Menu then bed.
Sweet dreams all.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I've not bought from this place, but someone I met at an Open Garden last year told me about them ...
might be worth giving them a try if you're stuck
