Well done Wonky. I hope you are happy there and get an extension to your job.
I tend to wear thermals that are meant for under a diving dry suit. They are Fourth element xerotherm. The top is like a fleece lined jumper but it is long and comes over my hips. The leggings have foot loops and come high above the waist. Together it means the lower back is double covered and kept cosy. I put normal clothes over the top.
Morning all/afties Pat. Aren't cars a r***y nuisance? A necessary evil
I heard that report too. Weren't they telling us many years ago about gardens changing in the south and that everyone there had to have drought tolerant plants, blah blah blah - and then all the flooding happened....
Think we had a bit of everything yesterday weatherwise. Bit off frost last night again but it's nothing much. Not so sunny today though, but the wind's dropped a bit thankfully. Might even get that grass cut later.
Off for a quick look round before I go. Have a grand day everyone - whatever you do.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
A little bit of frost in the garden this morning but nothing like yesterday's whiteness. I hope my courgette has survived, inside a dome cloche inside the plastic growhouse - we'll see...
I love gravy - especially from a roast. Not with everything though... my mother used to tell us about the rather odd woman with whom she was billeted during the war, who for her first meal gave her kippers, pickled beetroot and gravy.
Our car doesn't have a spare wheel, just a can of some sort of quick-hardening foam to fill the punctured tyre. Odd.
It's gorgeously sunny so I feel the long route to the shops (via the hill on the opposite side of the valley) might be appropriate...
Have a happy day, folks!!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Good morning all
No sign of frost this morning but I did think I heard hail on the windows earlier.
Interesting report out from the RHS on the effect on British gardens of climate change.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I don't like their thermal socks though.

Hello Fidget and Dove.
Morning all.
Dove, I have heard about the report on the radio just now. Very interesting........quite a climate contrast from north to south, if it happens.

I've just noticed that my GW mag for May has arrived on my iPad. I'm in for a bit of reading tonight.
