Morning all,  Aching quite a bit this morning after yesterdays pond endeavours, especially my shoulder.  I'll be back out there today after a slathering of Volterol a couple of Anadin and a visit to weightwatchers. The sun is shining here so hopefully it will last.

Firstborn and the children are coming over today to visit mum and bring me a load of curtains that need the tabs removing and curtain tape putting on (a job I'm not looking forward to).

Always up for a new online supplier I'll check out McLarens Fairy.

    Enjoy your weekend overyone.

Morning all, you've been busy by the sounds of it. I spent quite a lot of yesterday making a couple of chocolate tarts to take to my daughter's when I go for lunch tomorrow. Hope it's ok, new recipe I haven't tried before.

I'm going point to point racing with the rest of the family later but I need to water some things I planted a couple of weeks ago first. I'm sure if I water by hand today tomorrow's forecast rain will actually happen.

Pat E, I chuckled at the photo of the shop with the back to front apostle. Was a bit disappointed when you corrected it to apostrophe  image

Where's the point to point DE? I take it you're spectating rather than taking part image

Morning all. Aching after a full day's gardening yesterday, can't remember when I last got to do that. Felt great - no massive jobs, just lots of pottering and doing multiple small things that I'd kept thinking "must do that when I've got half an hour". I weeded, mulched, potted, pruned, tidied, moved, watered - you name it, there was a bit of it done yesterday. Wonderful day.

Just a morning's worth today, must plant seeds, am very behind.

Sorry to hear the insomnia is getting you down, Hosta. I can't offer any solutions, what works for me is unlikely to work for you, but I hope you can make peace with it somehow.

No, I've only ever fanned them so thanks.  I like that.

Slept well last night till woken by a snugglepuss.   Hosta have you tried the melatonin?   Other than that I suggest you get up and go and watch some TV or read a book or plan a new project in teh garden or a holiday instead of getting stressed about not sleeping.

It is grey and cool here so a good job I did a jeans wash.  Plant fair beckons.

LG - so pleased you had a satisfying day in the garden.  May there be many more.

Have a great day everyone whatever you're doing.

The problem with ordinary Melatonin is that it only helps you go to sleep, it doesn't stop you waking in the night.  However, there is a 'slow release' type available ... that might help Hosta.  And you really have to take it in the right way ...

We're just back from visiting the Vet. I might not feel like posting for a couple of days, so don't be surprised. My little white shadow has been put out of her misery. HRH has left us.
