Hi folks, thanks for all your kind comments re weight loss.  Hosta I'm sure you'll get back on track now that the better weather has arrived.  I've promised myself one fish & chip supper, one cream tea and one cornish pasty during my hols.  Wonder if I'll stick to itimage

Happy greenhouse/birthday Wonky.  We put a piece in backwards on our greenhouse and it was a b*gg*r to sort it out afterwards, this is one occasion when being OCD really pays off.

Have been in the garden this morning weeding and getting algae out of the half barrel pond.  Hubby lugged the greenbin down the drive for the first collection of the year.  They haven't been yet.  They better come as he'll never get it back up the drive, not sure the lorry will be able to lift it there is so much in itimage at least the lid shuts so they better not complain.  Have about 6 bags ready to fill it again as soon as it's emptied.

Lots of tulips about to flower, it looks like I'll miss the best of them when I'm in cornwall.

Sorry you had a scare Pat but glad you feel better now, always wise to get these things checked out.

Have a good day whatever you are up to.

Will start shifting it on Thursday - having a day in Norwich tomorrow.

Really must get on with ordering some more shrubs for this border. Terrible at making decisions & finalising plans though - anyone would think I was a Libra - oh! - I amimage

    Lawns mowed.

Sadly they still look dreadful, so many lumps and bumps from all the mole hills. Good job my only requirement of a lawn is to be green.

It is lovely to have all this dry weather to spend outside, unfortunately my studies are taking a back seat at the moment.

I have just spent 4 hours out there messing with the hosta bed and watering treasures.  It's jolly slow work dogging holes with ribs but I'm getting there.  The sun came out which helps but I was distracted a lot by helpful kittens and the dogs running around too - unable to decide between making sure next door's dog kept her distance or to play with pussies.    Not good for hostas!

Cosmos is growing up - first litter duty outside in fresh MP compost I've been using a s a soil conditioner.   Typical boy, ended up covered in black specks.

Time to clock off, have ahot shower and make a simple dinner.

Well done everyone who's managed to get some gardening done and roll on the weekend or some sun or a cure (delete as applicable) for those who couldn't.

how would the Scottish folk pronounce this chap's name?

Sotheby's said the buyer was Hong Kong jewellery retailer Chow Tai Fook Jewellery.

Just smiling at the OCD/instruction manual comments...

My OH never even opens an instruction booklet and my Dad is über OCD re such things. When my Dad bought his new phone and he asked where the manual was! We have a saying, in work, for when somebody doesn't know how to work something..."R.T.M." - Read The Manual! (that's the clean version anyway!)
