Never got around to the long border today.
Found out how to reset the trip meter on my new car though, having searched through 250 pages of handbook and Googled it with no luck.

Cleared out and cleaned the 3 brick cold frames by the GH. Sounds posh but they were made by me. started filling them with plants to harden off from the GH. It took longer than I thought it would. Sowed mange-tout peas.

Very warm in the sun, 21° in the shade.

Going to a Saint Georges day lunch tomorrow in a local French restaurant with a load of Brits. Actually, I hate the word Brit, wonder why I used it?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Went garden visiting again today - Dunsborough Park, near Wisley.  Beautiful tulip meadow, amd the best standard wisteria I've ever seen image

Chicky, I love the photos. Sounds as though you had a good garden visit.

Papijoe, yuk! I'll never look at that Rose in the same way again. I'll have to bury my nose into it and enjoy its perfume to dispel he memory of that article. image

Weve got another day of sun interspersed by dark clouds - weird. We did get 7mm heavy rain last night. Even I could hear it instead of Hubby turning to me and saying - it's raining!. image

    Good morning, as you appear.

Hi Pat - I'm having a 'Hosta' style sleep,so I had to get up and have a cup of tea. There was no chance of getting back to sleep!

I quite like rain drumming on the windows or a roof.As long as I'm not out in it image

Another frost here - it was clear and sparkly when I looked ou the window earlier. The sky looked lovely. It'll be lovely in an hour when it's light enough to see it properly image

    Chicky's pix are gorgeous image

I didn't expect you so early Fairy. when I saw there was a post from you, I thought you must have been up early to go walking on your lovely hills. Shame about the sleep disturbance.

I get up ust after six anyway to take daughter towork, and I contemplated walking again today, but there's plenty to keep me occupied here, so I decided to be sensible for a change! image

    I'll probably doze off later....image

There's some cloud creeping in, but I've hung the washing out. It's still only just above freezing but hopefully I won't need to scrape the windscreen.

Brrr! We are in for a 1 degree morning later this week and snow is predicted on the alpine areas. I find it really interesting how similar your spring and our autumn are similar.

my tomatoes and zucchinis are still fruiting, but I cover then each night, just in cast. I think there will be lots of green tomato pickle made this year. Not really in the mood to do it since it's a two day job, but we're always glad to have a new supply.
