Love the tale of robins Liri ❤️

The roses are Natasha R - although in our garden they will be called Chicklet's rose ?

On a train back to Slough for the second leg of my day.  Walked from Paddington to my meeting using google maps - a bit like in a car, it takes you weird and wonderful routes.  Been down tiny avenues of mews cottages, and grand terraces of Belgravia type mansions.  Love looking at tbw front gardens - all seriously "designed".....lots of grey slate, euphorbia and white tulips !!

and ceonothus is blooming here already ?

Back from tennis ... the hall is open this week and next as the church is Seventh Day Adventist and they don't regard Christmas and Easter as being different to the rest of the year - although I do remember them having a Christmas tree in the hall.

It started to drizzle while I was out - fortunately OH noticed and got the washing in - he's draped it on the rack in front of the radiator in the study ... not that the radiators are on now, but he said the washing was nearly dry when he got it in anyway.image

Don't think I'll be gardening this afternoon - it's not raining heavily but it's windy too so not very nice.  I'll have to keep an eye on my sweet pea seedlings which are on the terrace for their second day of hardening off ................. don't want them to get too wet and blown about.

Teehee Dove image afternoon folks, evening Pat,

Dove is right, I do have news. image brief recap, had bad luck in the job market and was in the process of going self employed as a gardener which is lovely but not a stable income through he winter months. This was worrying me as you can imagine! Answered an ad for a gardener full time, and went along to first interview, very interesting work on a family estate of 70 acres, walled gardens, rose gardens, kitchen gardens, citrus gardens, lakes, woodlands, herbaceous boarders, cutting gardens...just my sort of thing! Just been to the second interview and start near the end of the month! image just a little bit excited! image hold me down...I'm floating! image

  • Afternoon all, image

Just back from the bank, now I don't want to jump the gun, and you must all still keep your fingers (and anything else possible) crossed, because the first lady on what might be the bottom of a very long ladder has said yes. image

She liked my presentation, admired my research and knowledge and even offered to give me more money that I asked for 'in case I need it'. image

I am really scared to get my hopes up too much, it has been such a hard struggle to get anyone to listen to me so far, but she seems to 'get it', completely understands my need to be open for summer and is going to do everything possible to move things along quickly. She is going to telephone me Thursday next week with further details. Even giving a day (albeit a week away) is a surprisingly positive response from a French business so I am very pleased with that.

Now, I think I might just have a little glass of something - for my nerves you understand. Still shaking. image

Well done WW on your good news too. image

Good day to everyone and thanks for all the positive vibes, I think they worked. image

Congratulations to both Wonky and DD. I'm so thrilled for you both setting out on new adventures.

I see the Hitler loving Daily Hate Mail is down to its usual standards again.
