Fairy Youre very welcome ! Hope you manage a good walk. Bluetits going bonkers on our clematis yesterday ... And on the roses ... No aphid spray needed here
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning Hosta Lovely farming programme from Dartmoor on Radio 4 this morning about a young shepherd and his traditional sheep breeds. Thought of you and your view across the valley

I did see it Hosta - wasn't it great? I didn't realise it was on - Topbird would have enjoyed it. I usually let her know if there's any scenery/photography progs on about Scotland.
Sorry T'bird....
Don't know if my heart can take the strain of Lof D tonight!
Adrian Dunbar was on a radio prog about Ella Fitzgerald the other night. Didn't realise he was a jazz fan. I'm currently watching Monty and his round the world prog. He's celebrating William Kent - who I think was very much the 'forgotten man' when it comes to design. Lovely jubbly.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all, beautiful morning in Leeds, can't see much time is going to be spent in the garden - my wife is at work, so three kids to entertain here until the twins go to a soft play party at 2-4... Did manage to watch Beechgrove this morning though.
Hopefully they get so tired they'll be asleep by 7:30 and I can at least mow the lawn ?.
So much to do, I don't know where to start - tying in clematis, weeding, planting out creeping thyme, hosta 'June', agastache 'summer glow', geranium 'Elke', stachys hummelo etc etc. I need to book a day off work ?.
fairy not a puff of wind here but it's very mist, hopefully the sun will break thro
Pat, I have seen wasps return for a dead one and carry it off, what for I wonder?
WW glad you have had a good week
Andy you are going to have a busy day!
Hosta have always meant to ask, do you remove the flowers?
our two "gift" yesterday took the morning to plant but they are stunning! Can't wait to see what colour the rhododendron is, it is thought to be white the skimmia is a beauty feel very lucky
sweet peas going in today and now the fruit cage finished I may put the strawberries in, busy busy!
have fun everyone,

Morning all.
It's raining here ,but I'm not complaining as the ground is getting very hard and the garden could do with it.
Wonky, a wee bit would be lovely, but only if it's big enough.
Fairy, did you see "Scotland's lost asteroid" last night? Stunning scenery. Last LoD tonight.
