    Happy Easter all,

The weather is just right for gardening. Going to finish preparing veg beds.

We've had no rain for over a week but in March weatherman said we only had four days without rain.

I've just seen a crow attacking a baby rabbit. It was still alive when I chased the crow off but soon died. I didn't realise crows attacked live rabbits. Sad but I suppose that's nature!

I didn't buy Easter eggs, but as I was lining up at the checkout, I spotted scorched almonds ( haven't seen them for years and remember loving sucking the chocolate off the almonds then crunching up the almond). Of course, I had to buy them. I think Hubby has forgotten they are in the cupboard, so a treat awaits. image

First boyfriend bought me sugared almonds every Saturday evening. I used to love them.

Few drops of rain now but all grass cut and edged and some plants put in.  As long as it doesn't really rain grass man will plant some roses for me.

I'm finding it hard to envisage you all being short of rain. Sounds more like me. image

Sugared almonds image I bought some Creme Eggs when we were last in Norfolk, but couldn't bring them back on the plane. Haven't had one for years. I wonder if I will still like them.

Just collected my new car, not that different from the old one but the door locks all by itself, which I will probably find irritating. I like being able to see the speed in numbers rather than on a clock dial, and there is a choice too. It feels quiet and smooth, think the exhaust may have been just starting to go on the old car.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
