Evening folks - back from visiting Mum. She was a bit yonderly today, and conversation was decidedly one-sided, but she was pleased I was there, at least. And yes thanks Wonky - lots of lovely train travel, during which I managed to read 180 pages of the next book we're looking at in the Novel Appreciation group, as well as admiring the view out of the window...
Great to see you, Clari & Punkdoc!
Time for bed.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I didn't get on to the forum yesterday - a bit worn out. Had one of those days. All good now though. Been out to the garden, cooking HRHs favourite chicken, veg , and pasta meal .
I was woken up at 5am yesterday with a racing heart, and tingling down my left arm and leg.( The racing heart is quite common for me since I've been on the anxiety medication). The tingling was a first. You can imagine what my brain was doing at that stage! After laying there for a couple of minutes, I decided I'd better give Hubby a nudge. He called 000 and of course they sent an ambulance. Driven to CAS, hooked up to the usual, poked and prodded and then left until the duty doctor arrived. It just happened that my own Doctor was the one on call, so that saved lots of chit chat. After much tapping of joints and other physical tests, she decide I was OK and had probably been sleeping on that side. Hubby was called to come and get me by 9am.
The other thing was that my appointment with the Psychologist was booked for 11am that day, so back home, breakfast, cleaning up after HRHs little accident when no one was there to let her out, then back into town for my appointment.
By the time we got home, I just flopped on the lounge and slept until a friend conveniently rang to say hello. I'm still tired, but relieved that all the nervous and cardiac issues have been checked as OK.
Needless to say, I just couldn't get interested in chatting here. Now that it's 1pm on Tuesday, I will take the time to read what you've all been up to.
Oh Pat, sorry to hear you've been in the wars love, but glad you, HRH and Hubs are all OK.
Put your feet up; now is the time to teach the old dogs some new tricks, starting with a G+T, deliciously cold with ice and slice (minus the G if you are on meds ). Can HRH manage a tray?
Morning Daisy - you beat me in the early bird stakes this morning
And G' Morning to the rest of you Sorry to hear you had a scare Pat, but pleased you were checked out and everything is ok. Glad your Mum waspleased you were there Liri ((hugs))
Great to see Clari and Pdoc popping in - sounds like real progress being made Chez Clari. Hope the job works out whichever way you hope for.
wet morning here - quite pleased as it will settle in my marathon mulching session. Cosmos seeds sowed on Saturday are beginning to show 3 day germination notbad
Hi Daisy. Thanks for your thoughts and comments. HRH is too old (and stubborn ) to use the tray thing I bought for her. I think it's below her standard to use a tray! We're both boring - no alcohol here , but I can imagine how some would enjoy that.
Ive had a good day doing little jobs outside today. I discovered a Species Gladioli flowering in a tub of strawberries in the GH . The perfume is delicious. I bought and planted them more than 10 years ago when we were living in Melbourne, so I thought I'd lost the bulbs. They must been hiding all this time in one of the pots. Amazing! I've also filled a tub with good potting mix and plan on putting Nasturtium seeds in it and have them hanging from a high shelf in the GH. Should be pretty. Which reminds me, I want to lift the Marigolds from the garden and put them in as well. There was snow predicted on the high country last night.. where is autumn? I'm not ready for winter yet.
Sorry I missed you Dove and Chicky. The posts seemed to get crossed or something.
I'm still catching up, but glad to see Punkdoc and Clari back. I must admit that I suspected you'd snuck off to "you know where" after all, Punkdoc. Glad you're still at home, safe.
Clari, I'm a bit confused about your job. I thought you were settled there, especially considering how much you've achieved. I may have missed something.
Happy birthday Wonky. Hope you get lots of pleasure from the GH.

Good morning Daisy, Chicky and the rest of you as you arrive
Pat, nasty scare but thankful you've been checked out ... Now rest ((hugs))
I may have to address some issues in the front garden today or tomorrow ... The area where the border meets the lawn is looking somewhat 'undefined'
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Pat, the tray HRH was supposed to use, was for your bevy! Take it his little paws aren't too good!
It's a strange thing, but when I read your posts and reply, I do it with an Australian accent...I really do possum.
Sorry galahs, late for work...byeeee.
Pardon Chicky and Dove... G'morning and to all to awake.
Now I really must rush....
Very funny Daisy. I guess that you also speak that way!
I got inspired to move the Marigolds into the GH, so here they are.
this is a very poor photo of the gladioli
My Streptocarpus which has been sulking in the GH for months, has decided to flower.
and, last but not least, the self-seeded Cosmos which have taken over a veg plot is now head high
