    Morningimage

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wonkyimageimageimage  You'll enjoy your greenhouse!

Well done on the weight loss Yvie - very impressed. You'll get yours off again too Hosta now you'r e back out in the garden most days.

Glad things are ok Pat. Bit scary when it happens like that in the middle of the nightimage

Today I'll give the lawn a quick trim and then move the car to make way for another big delivery of loose compost this afternoon. Won't be as impressive a pile as Chicky's - but it's the second load and it will be more than enough for little old me to have to barrow round to the back garden on my own.

Back is nattering just thinking about itimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Good morning all!  Happy birthday Wonky - afternoon Pat.

I'm sitting in the hospital grounds in Halifax, listening to a blackbird yelling above the traffic noise.  I'm early for my appointment to have more treatment on my "trigger finger" which didn't respond to being injected last visit - I fear another injection is on the agenda...  image  Never mind.  If it works it'll be worth it; fiddly tasks have become difficult.  And all being well I can spend the afternoon in the garden.  image

Glad you've been given the all clear, Pat.  Full steam ahead with the gardening - lovely pics!

Good luck with the greenhouse, Wonky.  image

Wonky, I'm so OCD I have to get the instructions, tick off everything that's supposed to be there ( very annoying to find out something's missing after they close on a Friday as you're in full swing. , I tell you from experience), lay everything out in order and start. constantly going back to the instructions.

    Good luck Liri.

I've just re-potted my 25 year old Weeping Fig. I think I was right to suspect vine weevil at some point in the past  as there wasn't much root down there. image I've also broken the habit of a lifetime and used JI No 3.

Time for a shave and get ready for coal face duties. image

    Hello everyone.

Cloudy and cool here today but dry so, once the rest of the indoor jobs are done with I shall be back out playing with my hostas.

We brought our weeping benjamina but find she's rather large - 37 yrs old now - so I've taken her outside and put her under shelter to enjoy fresh air and light but no direct sun while I decide what to do with her - certainly not a bigger pot but maybe some root pruning and new compost to keep her healthy but limit size.

Wonky - happy Birthday.  Have fun with OH and the greenhouse but do read the destructions at least once before beginning or you'll end up doing it all a**e about face.

Busy - hope your connections improve.  Very frustrating for you.

Yvie- well done on the weight loss.  I have slipped off the wagon during all this kitchen stuff and now it's chocolate egg season......    Back on the wagon during the week then.

Pat - sorry you had a rough day.  Hope all is well now.

Hugs to all who need them for personal or family crises and/or illness and happy gardening all.

Half way home with hand still intact.  Got another appointment in 6 weeks by which time it'll be obvious if it needs operating on.  Temporary reprieve at least...  image

Yes, definitely wise to check you've got all the bits you need before attempting greenhouse erection, Wonks.  We've had to return to Ikea more than once for screws etc which were missing from the box.

I'll be back in time for the Natural History group meeting, which is a nice surprise.  We're looking at what grows along the canal bank after the himalayan balsam has been removed.

Fingers crossed for you Liri.   NH group sounds good.

It's started to drizzle here but I'm on a mission so will be back out in aminute.  Just needed to check if my mahonia Winter beauty would be OK in the shady bed with the hostas.
