Feeling a little dozy after roast chicken dinner followed by Eton mess. We only have puds on special occasions so it's generally something decadent when we do... Actually, it was going to be a raspberry pavlova, but the meringue didn't work properly and broke up when I tried to slide it on to the plate. Dunno what I did wrong... I suspect Eton mess was invented by accident, after a similar "incident". Nice to use home-grown fruit from the freezer anyway.
Nice cat pics, Obelixx. Our Vera, currently sleeping on my knee, is white with green eyes. Her sister Gracie was also white, but with blue eyes.
Best wishes to the greenhouse, Wonky!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hope everyone enjoying their Easter Sunday adventures/relax/eggs.
Managed some time in garden this morning - pond filter clean and sludge-bust today ?.
Had a little visit from the Easter Bunny/my niece who bought us a lovely stepping stone with Hedgehog design - just need to think where to place it. Had Hot Cross Bun afternoon tea but, sadly, indoors as cold and drizzly out. Not sure if the drizzle is enough to water my wildflower seed patch and seedlings - will have to check shortly...
Our lunch party for our friends who are moving back to England went very well. People brought some yummy food, Coronation Chicken, Salmon quiche, beef pie, chocolate cake, Bakewell Tart, strawberry and cream cake. I did a marinated roast chicken and salads. We gave them book of watercolours of Dordogne scenes by a local artist.
The smell in the larder has gone.
Sun has come out now and I need to do some watering.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Well here we are, feet up by the inglenook, caught up with the news and knitting on the go. Hope everyone's having a good day.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Happy Easter everyone!

Fabby dabby Wonks! Have you awarded yourself several chocolate eggs as a reward?
I could have done with one of those today. It's stopped raining now - I think. Darn cold though. I had a little nap earlier
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
