Sounds like an old wives tale to me. Mind you, in one of my Modesitt books that im reading, the black hares are supposed to be bad magic.image

    Morning all, evening Pat,

I'd like to apologise for my rude neglect of this fabulous thread with you wonderful people! I've been assembling a greenhouse..this will be day three! Divorce lawyers aren't open bank holidays which is probably just as well!

I've just had a skim read to catch up and am so very sorry Pat to hear of HRH's passing. As many massive hugs as you need being handed out here Pat. I am really so very sorry for your loss. I know the aching hole that is left, I've been known to search the house for where I could hear the cat bell. We lasted one week after our beloved Sorrowpuss passed. Fe!t like we had lost a family member! Rescued another a week later and brought her home, now Harrie and Flatters ( who just moved in the shed one day) both sit at Sorrow's grave, like you I dug a lovely place in the garden for her and marked it with ornamental rocks and spring bulbs and grasses. I genuinely hope you feel that we are all with you Pat xx

Topbird, re the hose, thank you thank you thank you! If not divorced by tomorrow and completion of greenhouse, then I will get on hose shopping!

Dove, sorry not been in touch, was doing greenhouse by torch at 8.30pm, came in to peel veg, make bread sauce and stuffing until midnight! So I could out and do greenhouse again this morning! And YES its very cold here too! Safe travels!!! Xx

Apologies to everyone, will be more attentive on completion of greenhouse! image

Yes it's an old wives tale, but sadly it means black cats don't get adopted. image  My little Daisy was black with a touch of brown and grey in later life...very elegant, a bit Coco. image

Thanks Wonky. You have reminded me of once trying to assemble "a do it yourself shed " and it was just as well we didn't know any divorce lawyers. We eventually got a fellow to come and do it for us which took no time at all, but he said there is a trick to it and is definitely not for doityourselfers. image

Im trying not to be too sad for my little white angel. She must have been very confused as well as in pain at the end..  we had a good talk to the vet who gave her a very thorough going over and shook his head,  lets be happy for her.

Shows your kindness Pat that you see it from HRH's perspective. Its kinder to let them go peacefully, but it can also give you a sense of peace knowing she didn't suffer. You made the ultimate kind decision in putting her first. Xx

    Morning all

I've hidden some malteser easter rabbits around for the "egg hunt"  My daughter has a nut allergy and I couldn't find any mini, nut free ,eggs.

Going for our " new visitor coast drive " today to show her new man around. I hope the weather is  a bit warmer than yesterday.

Have a good day one and all, whatever you're doing and with whomsoever you're spending it.

    Devon.

Happy Easter to you all image Easter Bunny has just been - but the egg hunting has yet to begin.  image

Family descending today - nice long walk on the cards, then roast dinner image.

But first, I must go visit my greenhouse babies- be warned Wonky - it can become a large part of your life at this time of year image

Morning image. Happy Easter everyone - don't be making yourselves too image on all that chocolate. I have a bag of mini Lindt eggs and a few mini creme eggs - but only because I bought them for myself. OH won't support the commercialism of over priced chocolate Easter Eggs  - so I've never had an Easter egg from him. Boxes of very nice chocs - yes - Easter eggs - no.

What are you all up to? OH is off to work later this morning and I might try and do a couple of hours outside this morning. I shall find something nice to do this afternoon - the bathroom towel rail / radiator could do with a good clean and polish upimage

Hope you're doing ok Pat - look after yourselfimage and also hope Fairy manages a walk and Wonky finishes the greenhouse. Puddy tats will lurve it in thereimage

    Enjoy your day folks
