Sympathies Clari. We also can't have the washing machine going at the same time as the toaster and electric kettle, therefore I  need to get breakfast done before putting the washing machine on.image

    Morning all.

Ten hour sleep last night. Sorry Hosta.

Dove, is the webcam on the Cathedral tower?  I have been watching the Scottish ospreys on their web cam.

Good to see you Clari.  You are in a bit of a mogar (as we say up here) today but will work your way through all the tasks.

The sun has disappeared.....temporarily I hope as I have lots of weeding to do.

Morning all.  Not too bad here, patchy sun and cloud... more weeds to remove, I think!

Hi Pat.  Some of your birds have really interesting names - what's a currawong, I wonder?  I used Inktense pencils at our "oldies" art club last week, for the first time.  Really interesting effects.  Have you tried Brusho?  No good for colouring cos you can't keep to the lines, but great for loose, abstract-y painting.

Hope the laptop behaves today, Fairy!

Topbird, Verdun would be proud of your shoe-buying exploits, if he were in a position to comment.

Thinking of the sleep-deprived this morning; it must be hard to feel positive at 4am...

The roofer who couldn't come until the autumn turned up at lunchtime yesterday and climbed through the skylight onto the roof, to have a wander round (sooner him than me!) and see what needs doing.  It may not be as expensive as we feared - though the scaffolding will cost more than anything else, of course.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Joyce - The webcam link for Norwich peregrines is here

The local Hawk and Owl / wildlife group were all set up in the Cathedral Close yesterday with lots of proper (ie large, tripod mounted) binoculars trained on the peregrines. Encouraging anyone passing to stop and have a look.

As you can see, it's a beautiful day in Norwich todayimage

Liri, I haven't tried brusho yet, but have seen a bit about it on line. I love the intense pencils.

You might be able google currawang birds - you might even be able to hear their calls. I love their voices. It's always a sign of colder weather on the way.

Can't say I ever thought about it Dove - not my kind of music.  These days I have no idea who even performs the stuff I like or dislike as I tend to have the radio on for driving or h****work so don't listen to the blather in between.

Sunny today but breezy.  More planting for me this pm after lunch.  Making roasted butternut squash soup.   Possum has embraced soup in our absence.

Fairy - you can buy new batteries for lap tops.  Cheaper than a new PC.   Look online for good suppliers.

Liri - bright side - maybe he'll have some scaffolding boards he wants to re-cycle.  Can you use some?

Hugs to all the sleep deprived, injured or bug ridden.  Have fun to all those able to garden or even just dream about it today..
