Thank you for the hugs, Mrs. Garden and Liri. My friend's husband needs them most, he's a lot older and they didn't think it would be that way round and he adores her.

BusyL, sorry to hear about your friends news. I hope the hubby is able to cope.

Im having a slow start today, but will probably get myself moving soon.  This is probably the last sunny day we will have for the near future. RAin predicted for Anzac Day tomorrow then snow.

Liri, congrats to your daughter. I'd loved to hear her singing the Mozart.

    Warmest wishes to you BL.

Thanks for the kind words folks. There was another pine in the corner of that new area ( just behind the gate) which someone decided to tie up with orange baler twine at some point. Anyway, the top just snapped clean off less than 1m from the ground a couple of years ago. I was devastated but realised it let a lot of afternoon sun into that area so decided to " do something about it"

I'm glad you appreciate the results.

Hosta, I meant to add my congrats on your lovely garden. Youve made a huge difference.

Papijo, no need to apologise. I was sort of joking. I love your rose. image

    Morning Pat.

Have you had any rain yet?

I have to say, it's been really dry here for about 3 weeks. Almost unheard of for this time of year around here.

I've got my unltrasound scan this afternoon to see if they can finally say " kidney stones" for sure. I hope they manage to sort it out.

    Morning Hosta and Pat.

Up early to see daughter off - hubby is taking her to Manchester airport for a 7.30 flight.  I was awake at 3.30, of course.  image

So you need rain in the SW as well, Hosta?  It sounds as if parts of the SE are starting to get seriously worried about the dry winter and spring; we haven't had our usual amount of rain here, but enough damp to keep the soil moist.  We haven't had the high temperatures some of you have experienced, either.

Fingers crossed for this afternoon, Hosta.

    Hi Chicky & Dove!

Nobody told me I'd miss my kids so much even when they were in their 30s...  daughter hasn't lived at home for 18 years but it doesn't make any difference.

Thanks Chicky, but she's much more talented than me...  image

Hope you're all doing a rain dance down south!
