Oh - there might be one in daughter's bedroom then....
Have you got time to nick up here and do my grass too Yvie? Didn't have time after my snooze...
I did go and split up an Iris that's been languishing in a pot for years. It's a wonder it was still alive under all the moss. You'd think when it's been sitting in a south facing position all that time there wouldn't be any....
Deadheaded tulips and daffs, tied in some clematis stems, and sat with a cuppa and listened to Johnnie Walker. Marvellous
Three loads of washing dried. It's been a tad windy here too Obelixx. I needed two fleeces on most of the time. Nice and fresh though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Nothing much achieved here - seem to have run out of steam the last few days - need to give myself a good kick up the behind and get on with some jobs.Tomorrow is another day....
A little link to make Hosta's mouth water if he hasn't seen it already:
Dove, will give N Cornwall your love if you'll do the same for me in September, we sometimes go in the Autumn too. A couple of weeks (months?) ago you and Hosta were discussing Delabole and Setters and I had to smile. We went once and I asked how on earth they had such a big menu. Answer was 'we have a massive freezer'. It's long since closed down - can't think why. ....
Will do Dyers
It was, quite seriously, the worst place I've ever been ... not just the food but the service by the proprietors and the place in general - the chairs had pools of water in the seats which we had to ask to be dried. No idea why we didn't walk out there and then .......... they didn't just have a big menu, they also had a permanently pinging microwave - my duck in honey sauce was welded to the plate - OH's fish was raw. We were very hungry but even so ... we were the only people in there for the whole time we were there. That time we were staying in a cottage between Delabole and Boscastle. We've stayed all over Cornwall and Devon usually in very rural spots, but nowadays we usually stay in St Ives.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Samehere FG, dead headed days (tulips only just out), clem stems, cuppa, and a few other bits n bobs, plus 3 loads of post ski holiday washes (still need to bring some in). Started a patch for son, got great ideas from another thread.Replaced Bowles mauve. Now Ive burnt the meatballs typing on here!
In the last garden we had masses of Thalictrum Aquilegifolium, but none here. Yesterday I noticed a nice clump cunningly hidden in a clump of Aquilegia.

Hope you are all well and gardens flourishing.
Dove " We've stayed all over Cornwall and Devon usually in very rural spots, but nowadays we usually stay in St Ives."
You seem to have forgotten your new fave BnB, have you not?
Mouthwatering Hostas indeed. Makes me realise how many more I still need to get.
We're having roast beef for dinner. How frightfully English. Well, it is St. George's Day and I'm half and half!
I don't like it that much but the girls do. I'd be happy with a bowl of my home made chicken soup that's on the go. Compromise
We don't get nightingales, but those little Meadow Pipits yesterday sharing my 'space' on the hill were just as good. Isn't nature terrific?

Took these this afternoon around "The Rock 2"

Looks fabulous Hosta. Amazing how quickly something can take shape after a bit of renovation

Oh, much excitement.

Thanks Fairy. I'm kinda thrilled with it so far and it's still only April.
