Afternoon Pat - that labrador/vacuum cleaner video is priceless! My cat retreats under the bed when she hears me opening the cupboard where the vacuum lives. I wish I could hoover her, because the main mess in the house is her moulted fur...
On a serious note, that cyclone looks horrendous. At least these days there's an early warning system, so people have time to leave their homes for somewhere safer, but the damage to trees & property must be hard to bear.
LilyP, hope your pooch is ok. And that the baby's passport comes through quickly - it's so hard seeing them infrequently when they're little.
Fairy, I need structure too, when I have a day entirely to myself. Otherwise the time can just disappear (generally in the garden!) and I feel dissatisfied that I've not done any of the "boring but essential" things I really ought to get going with. I make lists, and tick things off when they're done. A bit OCD perhaps, but it works for me...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Thanks for all your get well wishes , I had a blocked intestine and they cleared it with antibiotics , which still taking , getting better , looking forward to getting into garden , hopefully in a few more days
Glad you're on the mend GWRS. Very unpleasant for you. Hope the weather's good for you to get outside for a while
Hosta - what do you mean - wardrobe? What's wrong with the outfit in that pic I posted?
Gravel rash...
Obelixx - sorry you're in the wars too. It's a pain in the ...well....side
Left for you and right for me. I was hoping to shift some slabs this week and spread gravel. Not sure that's going to happen. Typical when I have the time off
I must look at that link - I used to have a friend who hoovered her poodle.
That's not a euphemism Hosta, just in case you were tittering.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
FG - I am supposed to be painting Possum's bedroom in the ams and gardening in the pms. Not going to happen now. Even walking is painful today so no walkies with the hounds either. They'll have to chase each other round the garden but I need to rig a barrier to stop them trampling the newly worked potager which is looking good already.
Learned that lesson in Belgium when we had a man do the same to prepare our 45 are garden for sowing grass seed. 3 cows escaped form the paddock across the road and trampled craters all over before 2 climbed over the barbed wire fence to get to the cows in the paddock next door. Policemen came to control the traffic while the cows were recaptured by their owners. Lots of jokes about Mad Cows, us being British and all. Ho-ho.
I have sent that link to OH. He can try it with his bloody Dyson. My robot does rugs but not lumpy dogs.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I've just come in to peel off yet another layer - it's really warm out there - the bluetits are popping in and out of the nestbox and the bees are a'buzzin
