Have you tried nematodes on your vine weevils. When wd came here there were a lot in part of the garden. We applied two lots of nematodes and that really seems to have greatly reduced their numbers. Fingers crossed!
now it's time for bed - sweet dreams folks
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning Clari, Morning Dove, Morning John Boy, and all those yet to arrive
Really enjoying all the spring blooms at the moment .....although those in my own garden have yet to get into their stride. But the magnolia and camellia buds are beginning to show their colours, so maybe not much longer.
Vine weevils Nematodes worked for us in our last garden, but have only had the problem once in pots here .....primulas were the casualties then too.
Morning Chicky It is a glorious morning isn't it The weather man is just saying that it's going to cloud over and turn to drizzle except in the East and the north ...

Just waiting for my second train of the day, for my mini-trip to Scotland. It's s bit chilly but dry... Feel a bit guilty cos I've left OH with a poorly cat and a loo which has just started to leak. But I expect he'll cope!
Anyone passing my house while I'm away, please feel free to pull out the odd weed.
See you in a few days...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Good morning. I'd like to use nematodes but I think the best time to clobber VW larvae with them is July/August/Sept, isn't it?
OH caught one in the bathroom this morning and I've just found one in the garden room. I'll be inspecting carefully today. VW would certainly explain 'failure to thrive' and 'death' in some plants. I haven't quite got myself into the frame of mind to wash off all potting compost and repot but I suppose that may come.
Morning all/afties Pat if you're around. Dry here at the moment, but a cool wind. Rain and wind to come later unfortunately.
Hope you've got your simmit Liri - wintry showers and hill snow for the next few days....
Hope you get plenty done
My drumstick primulas are just starting to bloom - hope there aren't any evil weevils lurking, although I did have a plant with a load of grubs in it a year ago, and I do have some adult damage. WIll have to keep an eye out....
There's a faint green haze on hawthorn hedges - really early for that here, by about a month. It's that drier, mild 'English' winter we've had. I'll take that happily
No time to catch up -was in bed just after ten last night - so I'll wish you all a good day and get ready for the mines....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hair cut and sort car ins before thinking about garden
Vine weevil only had it once , many Year ago , drenched pots with some chemical stuff , then used a gravel mulch and so far they haven't returned , fingers crossed
