Lovely kitchen Obelixx! Had mine replaced last November - my old cabinets look very similar to your old ones! Circa 1987?? Felt slightly bad binning wood doors but over it now!
Afties, or evening, all. Congrats to daughter of Frit, and speedy granddaughter and hi Jamie. Welcome to the forum. Dive in and see what's what
Lookin' good Obs. Your old kitchen is very similar to the one we inherited in our last house - only in better nick - and a lot cleaner, by the look of it, although that wouldn't be hard
We did the same - ripped it all out (including the Swedish sauna pine ceiling) opened it into the utility and put in a lovely modern one. Hope the new owner's enjoying it...
New one looks absolutely terrific. What a difference it'll make for you. It makes cooking pleasuarable instead of a chore when you have a nice workspace. What are you cooking up first?
I've done very little today. Sown some seeds, fed the back grass and not much else outdoors. Been damp on and off but not bad. Been busying myself indoors with boring chores instead.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Great kitchen Obx - like others, our old one was like your old one and your new one is very, very similar to our new one.
People have questioned having gloss white doors - "Don't they show finger marks / dirt / smudges etc etc?". Well, yes they do - but in a kitchen I prefer to be able to see the dirt when there's only a bit and it's easy to clean off - rather than wait till there's a disgusting sticky residue everywhere. Those wooden mouldings (darker wood in our kitchen) could (did) hide 20 years of someone else's muck
It is a real joy to have a kitchen designed and built to your personal specification and needs.
Thanks for the comments about the Jazz. We know it's probably a bit of a 'mature' person's car - but the Mark 3 has got a younger, slightly sportier feel to it and, at the end of the day, it will be a bit of a work horse.
It's replacing OH's MX5 which is no good for anything except getting a sun tan. We've had to come back from a spontaneous visit to a GC with 6' garden canes with the roof down on the A14 - in a heavy thunderstorm - lorry spray, rain - the works!
Laughed like a drain the whole way home - got absolutely drenched

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hosta - you could sell some cannas and water lilies to pay for it...
Forgot to say T'bird - I had a Jazz when a car was in getting repaired some years ago. It was great. I had a big Honda, but it cost a fortune to get anything done. I loved it dearly, but had to get rid of it. I hate the car I have, but they offered me so much for the Honda, I nearly bit the guy's hand off to exchange. The car I have has foldy down seats and a nice 'flat' boot so that you don't have to lift stuff up and over, and plenty of room for plants, shopping, compost and walking gear. Not all at the same time usually...
Did you have a bath when you got home?

Nah - just a rather grumpy OH. The car has leather seats and they don't really like getting wet. Serves him right for not having a sensible car
He's retiring at the end of this year and I've told him he's not knicking my sensible car every time he wants to go away camping, walking, cycling with loads of stuff in the car. I need a proper car at all times for trips to the vet, the tip, the GC, the bottle bank and the SM.
Edit to add: PM for you Fairy in case you haven't seen a message

I know what you mean Topbird ... we've not yet been caught in a rainstorm with the top down and a tree sticking out ... but it may happen one day ... and the Megane doesn't have leather seats

Top bird , next door have had 2 Honda Jazzs and they have proved very reliable
Obs , very modern looking kitchen , may you have many happy hours in there
Son says lots of people recommend Honda Jazz for 'grown ups' ........... he says that's what Jeremy Clarkson bought his mother
My son recommended my elderly Megane Cabrioleta for me - he obviously knows I'm not a 'grown up' .............

Congrats on new kitchen and new baby.
Eventually got hold of the man at the bike shop:
" it's a helluva palaver and be prepared for it to cost about £1,000.00 to get it on the road."
I've been lifting and splitting cannas to take my mind off things. Should that read "burying my head in the sand and hoping things go away"?
