Hi everyone, just letting you know that I'm around. I Need to read back about 6 pages to catch up, and will do so Soon.

I've been zonked since our trip to Canberra on Wednesday. Such a bother for me nowadays. The Endodontist who looked at Hubby's teeth did a few things and said we'll get you back for the job. When are you available? stupid Hubby said, sooner rather than later, so his appt is for 8.45am Friday (Today). I thought about it and by lastnight said, do you mind going on your own, I'm still really tired from last time. So he left at 6.30am, rang a short while ago to reassure me that he is safely in the parking bay at the endodontists, so alls well. (Lots of yawns here between dozing off again).

Catch you all later when I've read all your news.

We're back from dancing with clear skies and lots of sparkly stars up above.   Not to last tho.  Clouds and windy bits tomorrow.   We're having a day off gardening and going to a spring fair after I've done a coat in the middle annex.   Painting marathon here.

Lovely photo Liri.   I'm fine on boats but can get seasick doing a Viennese waltz...... or even a Paso Doble if there are too many turns, as I discovered this evening.

Pat - hope you feel rested soon.

    Sweet dreams all.

I found these acorns and leaves under a large tree in Canberra on Wednesday. Can anyone agree with me that it is Quercus variabilis (or not). I need to look at the trunk to see what the bark is like, but it's the nearest I can find that looks like it. The leaves are 5.5"" by 1.5".  The acorns are very round when they come out of their cup.

photo is too big, so will modify and try again.

Sorry, can't help on the identity of the tree Pat.

Nice sunny morning starting here - and looks like a dry weekend too.  Thats good, as I have a long list of gardening jobs to do image. One more day of mining to get out of the way first thoughimage

Good morning allimage G'day Pat image

Not a tree I know - sorry Pat.

It's beautifully sunny in the east and dark grey in the west. The forecast says cold windy and showery.

It may be a day to stay indoors and make biscuits and watch the Gold Cup. ... and of course, happy St Patricks Day to all our Irish friends image

Have a good day Chicky - it's Friday!

Hmm now the weather man is saying no rain here today - just up north (sorry).

But Saturday and Sunday will be wet and windy everywhere ... apparently ...

Morning all/afties Pat. Can't help with the tree either but those are beautiful acorns. Gorgeous shape.

Not read back yet, so no idea what you were all up to last night.

Wet and very windy at the front of the house last night, so it didn't keep me awake. Only wet now and breezy. Just as well Liri got across yesterday - her ferry is part of the 'disrupted service' today. Looked pretty 'disrupted' when she was on it too....image

Forecast is pants here for the weekend  image

But it's Friday chicky - it's all good! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
