Ta Dove - although I really should have some lunch...
6 degrees when I came home but that isn't factoring in the wind. Pure mingin', as we like to say here. Daughter buys me a coffee at McDs, and as we drove home, she joked 'look Mum - they've got a new cover for the cups as it's spring'. The wipers were giving it laldy in the pouring rain at the time
Birds are all hiding too - can't say I blame them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Brrrr it's cold here and very windy. Just popped out to fetch a few logs as have had to light the logburner due to the boiler conking out. Woke this morning at 7 and thought Oh I'll just have another hour. Woke again at 11.00. Had arranged to go out with a friend at 11.30.
We went to Webbs and I bought a couple of large pots, some sweet peas and a pretty trug of herbs. Was hoping for better weather this weekend as Secondborn's partner was due to come over and take his motor bike away. He has been storing it in a bike barn in my garden for nearly two years and I've finally given him an ultimatum to collect it or I'll flog it on ebay
Yvie ... I've not slept in that long since I was a teenager .......... I need more practice!!!
Hi Hosta It's not raining here ....... yet ........but it's flippin' chilly!
I repotted my/your canna at the weekend ... it looked healthy enough, not squidgy or anything ... it spent the winter wrapped in fleece and in the bubble-wrapped mini-greenhouse up against the house wall. Begonias didn't make it, (I didn't really expect them to) but hopefully the canna did.

"... George Osborne will earn £650,000 a year for working four days a month at BlackRock, more than 10 times what he is paid as an MP once expected share awards from the world’s largest fund manager are included...."

Think you may need to batten down the hatches over the weekend Fairy - and your water butts may get filled up

No need for waterbutts here Dove
Birds musthave heard me saying they were hiding. Just been watching the long tailed tits - four of them this time - with daughter. She loves them too.

Hope everyone is warm and well.
Evening all.
Horrible out there. Raining, windy and a really nasty edge to the wind.
Popped into Waitrose to have a sneaky peak at my overtime shift for the morning. Looks like I'll be done by 1 ish.
Productive day in tunnel. It looks a bit odd with everything cut down. I need to decide what I'm going to do with a million ( at least ) cannas.

Surely if you apply for a job as an MP, that should be your job, your only job?

So the other 'second job' he already has and earns an obscene amount of money for isn't enough for him? https://www.ft.com/content/4c3b9c90-0422-11e7-ace0-1ce02ef0def9
