Sounds lovely Dove.    We haven't even got a rhubarb plant yet......

Medieval style salmon in pastry for dinner, adapting a Joyce Molyneux recipe.   Bit of a treat as food will be very simple over the next few weeks.    Plain old ice cream for pud tho.

    It's raining!    Good.

Don't tell my OH!  He'll be on your doorstep in five minutes. He's a firm believer in the health benefits of large helpings of ice cream ! image

So would mine - and the farm shop sells wonderful locally made ice cream. Last year a customers child managed to turn the switch for the ice cream freezer off and all the contents softened too much to be sold. They refroze them and shared them out among any staff who wanted it ... Guess who had the lions share? image

Saw the first red admiral of the year, basking on our stone wall.  Shortly followed by a bumbley bee buzzing by.  Times they are a-changing image

It sounds spring-like with butterflies and birds. The bird photo is lovely. We don't have any of those here.

    Morning all.

Clearly my body thinks I need to be awake at 3.20am to get to work in time for an 8am start.

    Hey ho. Cuppa tea time.

Chucking it down outside. So heavy I can hear it. ( Sorry Pat )

Morning Hosta, thought I was the only one awake. Hope you have a cuppa by now

this is the first night in over a week I could relax but that information doesn't seem to have sunk in

family return to London today. We have enjoyed spending such an unusual amount of time with them but wish it had been under happier circumstances. My dil has been very strong and coped remarkably. Hard enough clearing her mums house but then aunties too?! We have been able to help with storing at least in the short term Wee poppet has been very well behaved and slept thro each night. Mum and dad just don't believe us!

this week I might actually get outside, I have a list of things that need immediate attention!

    Have a good day everyone

LP, get out into your garden ASAP ( maybe wait until it's light image). It'll do you the power of good.
