Lily P and Joyce, happy to be of service... image  ...it was absolutely gorgeous.  That train journey must be one of the most scenic in Britain.

The water boiler on this train (Glasgow to Euston, though I'll be getting off at Preston) has bust, so I'm looking longingly at your cup of tea, Dove.  image

Fairy, it was the construction of Cruachan that broke my dad. He felt the same way about the pylons as I feel about the windmills. Difference is I can't move!!

I go back to my childhood every time we are up there, all much more glamorous of course nowadays!

We've had it all today. Sun, hail, rain, cloudy and cold.

I managed to repot some Roscoea purpurea into a big clay display pot. Then I planted a few rosy mixed primula which all appear to be singles. image I wait for each potted on plug to flower so I can have the colours where I want them. I also managed to do a bit of shredding before hail stopped play.

No laptops in the cabin on airplanes is going to cause havoc. How many will disappear out of luggage do you think?

As far as I'm aware, Fidget, it's just a rule for people flying in to America from certain countries Trump doesn't like.  Not including GB for the moment...  image

I think I heard that the UK is going to bring in a similar restriction for flights coming from some countries ....... but I may have been mistaken ............. I was cooking

Ah.  I was just going by what I heard on the news before I left this morning - you're obviously better informed.  I guess someone knows something they're not telling us about a particular terrorist threat, like when they brought in the restrictions on liquids.  Better safe, I suppose... and we can always do like the Russians and wrap our cases in cling film to prevent theft...
