    Hosta??

Back from Gardeners' Club AGM. I'll be hosting the annual party in August.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not sure whether to congratulate or commiserate Lizzie - sounds like a lot of work image

LilyP - no uniform here, just an office job.....by weird coincidence, for an energy company image  I love wind turbines, especially those out at sea image

All this chat - I so want to live in Scotland - I just wish wee Jimmy Krankie (Nicola Sturgeon) would get back in her hole and make it more attractive for people considering a move north of the border. Certainly not doing it while she's stirring up trouble.

Apologies - that's politics but she is really winding me up at the moment.

Meanwhile - Hosta - what on earth has happened? - hope you're okimage

My dad was part of a movement which set up one of the first wind farms, between Kendal and Sedbergh.  We always talk about them as "his" wind turbines... he was passionate about alternative energy.

    Hosta????!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I had to drop off some plants, as a thank you to the nursery guy who gave me some hemercallis . On the way I started having abdominal pains. As I got out my van they suddenly developed into full blown , screaming in agony , couldn't even speak pains. Lasted about 10 -15 minutes. In the mean time the guys from the local garage called an ambulance.

Sod's law, the pain stopped before they arrived, but they did all sorts of tests, including ECG . Someone went round to Waitrose to explain why I wasn't turning up for work and my lovely Section Manager came back round with them to see if I was ok. They gave me the all clear and suggested I went to see my GP ( which I'll do later )  so I just went to work ( even though boss suggested I went home ) but they got someone in to cover my driving and I went on checkouts .

It's the worst pain I've ever experienced, but it's happened before, and , like this time, when it goes, it's gone. I told the paramedic this . It's most odd. It's not like, eg ,when you stub your toe, it aches for ages afterwards. This just goes, totally.

The paramedic asked me to take off my jacket, then my apron, then my tie, then open my shirt and roll up my sleeves :

" I'm sorry  to ask to remove so much clothing " he said

I replied, I've been on dates which haven't gone this far" he laughed.

Now I can't sleep, surprise surprise.

    Devon.

Good morning everyone. I realise that I'm early, but I thought I'd get in before the rush image.

Hosta, I hope your GP can sort out the problem. Sounds strange.
