Hosta ... A few years ago I started to drink at least 3 litres of water a day - every day  ... improved my health and wellbeing no end ...... and no, I don't have to get up in the night very often ......... the more dilute the pee, the less it irritates the bladder.

And besides, you can always keep watering the compost heap ............. it's not as if you're overlooked where you are image

My first wash load is still rinsing ........... better get up to the GC for a birthday card image  and then get back here and out into the garden .............. it's already 17C in the shade and climbing ............. image

    Morning all,

Glad to hear the little one is back with mum and improving.  Mabel is OK, overjoyed at not going to nursery but not liking the antibiotics one little bit.image  Don't think Jonah has Scarlett Fever, think it's just a chest infection and he seems to be picking up.  Secondborn is a different kettle of fish however, just seems to be getting worse and insisted on going back to work this week.  I think a bit of mum nagging is on the cards.

Wonky I bet you are excited about the new greenhouse, what would we do without our mums eh.  I love mine, it might only be tiny (6ft x 4ft)  but its amazing how much I can grow in it. (Having just read back before posting - I mean the greenhouse is 6ft x 4ft not my mum)

Hosta, I had renal colic when I was a teenager, no stones involved just the pain.  Rather give birth any day.  I was hospitalised and wasn't allowed to eat anything for 3 days, but had to drink pints and pints of warm hospital water.  Yuk.  Was told at the time that it was probably caused by not drinking enough and consequently not going to loo enough.

Friend coming round for a cuppa at 11.00 and getting a delivery of two new self watering trays for greenhouse this afternoon.  Still have two trays of seeds to pot up, so that's my day sorted if the weather holds out.

Hope everyone has a good one.

flippin' 'eck, I can see reinforcements are joining in.

Right, 2l minimum from now on. OK?? HAPPY NOW???

Bless you all for the kind words and for caring. x

Sitting room cleared and ready for redecorating before No1 daughter arrives for Easter.

2 loads of washing done and hung in the conservatory to dry ( do they have any other purpose? )

Cuppa and a bit of cake then I'm off into the garden for the rest of the day, or until the rain starts later.

I felt that way about conservatories too Hosta, until the one at the last house. Perfect for watching the birds and wildlife. It was a ridiculously large size though!

We won't  nag you any more - will we laydees? image

Been to get the mane trimmed - I hate going to the hairdresser. Don't know why women enjoy it. Is there a chance I'm actually a man? image

That's a fair old load ot shift chicky. I own't be coming down to help - sorry image

Looks like the rain might be going away a bit too, so I will get a few more things done outside later. Perhaps the slabs and gravel as my achy side has gone now. Found some Cupani sweet peas so I might sow those too.

I'm back ....... at last ............. how was I to know it was the  GC's 50th birthday and they were having a huge promotion and queues went back as far as the pet store!!! I suppose I could've read the emails they sent me image

All I wanted was a birthday card .... ok, I picked up some seeds and FB&B while I was in the queue, but even so ...... what a way to spend half a morning ........... at least it was drizzling outside while I was there so I didn't miss gardening time ...... it's drying up now so I'll be out there in a minute ...................

Weather forecast for tomorrow will be 4-20c. Could do without the sudden drop in temp. I just might have a sleep in under nice warm blankets.

Hello. Tree fell on phone line yesterday so no phone or Internet. Farmer came this morning and chopped up the tree, France Telecom have repaired the line. But I'm babysitting at son's and have OH's iPad. Was worried in case I couldn't get up the drive because of the tree. They have gone out to lunch for DIL's birthday.

Relieved and pleased for Lily P that baby is back with her mother.

Was disappointed for Wonky about the GH but sounds as though all's well that ends well thanks to Dove.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
