Sorry LG. I haven't checked for several hours. I expected you all to be asleep. It's amazing how quickly you get your eyes tuned into long thin shapes in the garden. You very quickly learn to differentiate between a hose and a snake.
Morning all - or anyone who's up/afties Pat - are you on your own here!
I'm not commenting about the 'comments' last night. Can't be doing with any of it. I'm finding a couple of them rather peculiar....
Sunny here but cool. Think we may have had a little frost last night after the rain, but I was oblivious as I fell asleep at nine last night. Could have been a thunderstorm and it wouldn't have woken me
Perhaps New Zealand would suit best for the island chicky - sun, sea, mountains and waterfalls...and not too hot for me - she added quietly ....
Do they have venomous snakes though Pat?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
In the dark and happy to remain so when it comes to back biting on other threads. It appears this forum can divide into fractions. Nice to see you Runny, shame about the choice of topic, those of us that want to know about it would have visited that thread of their own will. Reading between the lines is not a complex skill and think most of us are capable of interpretation. We don't know about it because we don't want to....not because we have been kept in the dark.
On a lighter note, OK forecast, day at home and hoping to get in the garden!
Sorry about the Christmas tree BusyL! Firewood supplies will be OK for a while!
Pdoc, thought you were going to pack Kylie in your island travel bag!
Grey and breezy here again. Coalface at 12, driving from 3 - 7 so I might get done before it's properly dark.
Re nasty comments by forum users. I'm happily sticking folk into the "ignore" cupboard: Flamers, quotation obsessed know-it-alls, bigots and paranoid /hysterical xenophobes and sundry loons.
I recommend it highly. If folk don't like what I say, I'm happy to be dumped into theirs.
Hi again. We're cold here today! Prediction for tomorrow is 9-20c which might sound warm to you, but after our months of heat waves, it takes a bit of getting used to.
Dove, I don't know if the NZ snakes are venomous or not.
Bit confused as to how that is a nasty comment....sounds more like a reaction to Ill feeling that is expressed and unwanted....but we were trying to keep this a jibe-free thread so I'm not going to ponder it all any further.... the suns out!

Hi Pat,
"might not like the constant alertness for venomous snakes"
- you have no idea how that bit of your description leaps out and swamps everything else when you live on this side of the world!
Other than that, all good. Forkers trip to Oz then?
I'm off to bed. Have a good day Pat. Hope the new batch of lurgy sufferers have a better night.

Good morning all
G'day Pat
Think it might be too hot for me at your place Pat, I melt easily
Blue skies and only the haziest of whispy clouds here

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Hi all.
Lovely and sunny again, that's 2 days in a row, a record for this year I think.
Wonky I am trying to decide between OH and Kylie.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
I'm suggesting a way of avoiding arguments, how can that cause bad feeling? I'm curious.
