It's SO good, Dove. We even had some dew this morning. That must surely indicate that there's some moisture in the ground.image I can even see two of our dams shining reflecting clouds down there! Obviously nowhere like full, but it all helps.

Pat, are there any wild flowers which appear after your  autumn rains?

I don't think there are any that are particularly rain dependent, Dove. At least I cant think of any. There are of course seasonal wildflowers. We need to go out into our back area (which is still basically  pure  bushland). There was no point getting the ute out today while it was drizzling. Maybe tomorrow.image

Morning all.  Slightly later start for me this morning - working at home, as I have to get something written, and it will be easier without the distractions of an open plan office.

Meant to say yesterday (few pages back now) - hello to Orchid/Sunflower Lady image Hope all is going well with the business, and that your lttle men are on good form imageimage

Morning all/afties Pat - glad you're gtting some much needed dampness.

Wasn't feeling like chatting last night either, and laptop was a bit hit and miss so I gave up on it. Glad everyone here and relations are all fine. Was thinking of you chicky, as I wasn't sure whereabouts you worked in London. It did cross my mind about it being the anniversary of the attacks in Belgium. Once again, it gets perspective about our lives. I was reading comments by a 'man in the know' only recently that terrorists saw Britain as too difficult a target because of our security. The ramraiding style attack seems to be the new method of choice. How do you protect against that though?

Good to see you Orchid/Sunflower. Glad the business is doing well. Would be good to have you back on here now and again. image

Cold here and a bitter wind, but dry. Busy at work so I'd better get organised.

Love to you all - stay warm and safe.

Oh - loved the joke fidget - the girls at work will enjoy that  image

Morning all. Westminster was calm last night, though subdued, with a helicopter above and a few more sirens than usual. I turned off just before the cordon and walked the back way to my destination. What a day. Sterling work from the emergency services, not to mention the MP who performed CPR on the police officer.

Dry, light breeze and the sun is trying to force through. Proper gardening might take place today.

Glad you've had some rain Pat. Your climate is too extreme for me, I'm afraid.

Morning LG and Hosta. I'm beginning to think our weather is too extreme for me too. Hostaimage.

Our news has been full of the British thing going on. I turned to Foxtel BBC World News this morning, so I was ahead of them, thanks to Dove raising the news early.

We've been trying to clear out some of our recorded TV programs this afternoon to make space for more. image. Landscape Artist of the Year. Watched Lyme Park episode this afternoon, then discovered that our April programme has the whole lot from 11.40am til 7.30pm on 14 April.  I don't think I could sit through that many episodes  one sitting.  Then later in April, they doing Portrait Artist of the Year. It's all too much!
