Have done some pruning and weeding and scattering of poppy seeds. Good to be outside but it's all pretty wet and the mole is active again image

Bought an Eden Rose this morning and now haven't a clue where to put it. Do they mind shade?

Don't know Eden roses Lizzie - what colour are they?

Charles Dowding has a website and lots of youtube videos, plus has written books (bought one for Mr C last night in a bid to make him relinquish his spade) ..  if you google Charles Dowding No Dig you should find him easily.  Managed to subdue couch grass, buttercups and bindweed on his patch - gotta be worth a go image

Topbird image we usually get crabs when we go to Cromer or East Ruinton - when we're down at Soutwold we don't buy the crabs (they're imported from Cromer).  We like to get the line caught cod or local plaice or skate as that's caught by the local day boats ........ or herrings in season of course (I love fresh herring)  but the best of the herring are over now until next autumn.

It's like this, pale two tone pink, called Pierre de Ronsard in France.

There's a cure for that Dove image. I'll cross Cromer off my 'places to visit' list if its so infested!

That's a very pretty rose Busy.

I love crab but couldn't get it fresh in Belgium.  Here I've seen cooked crab sold just cut in half thru the middle but I've also seen live crabs to bring home and cook.   Need to learn how to shell and dress them tho.   When I was young we'd go and visit the grandparents in Seaham and Dad and I would catch a bus down to the harbour and come home with a couple of live ones which the grown ups then cooked and prepared so I've no idea how shelling is done but I will learn.

Dancing was good tonight but hard work.   Private class as we were the only ones there.   One pair on hols, one heavily pregnant and another with two sick kids at home.

Bedtime soon.    Need to build up reserves for the final push ofpainting and then I can get into the garden again.

    Sweet dreams all.

    See original post

Poorly pusscat is ok thanks Dove. We're keeping him comfortable with painkillers while we wait for the biopsy results. Meanwhile he is enjoying being spoiled rotten with cuddles and gourmet cat food.

Love all fish when it's spanking fresh from the boatsimage

Obx - just love picking crab when I have the time to sit and do it. Strangely therapeutic with something good to listen to on the radio. And there are always Picker's Perks aka Quality Controlimage

Time for bed now - night all.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Hope the toe survived the intensive dancing, Obelixx.

Wonderful fresh crab sandwiches, from a little kiosk on Oban pier, are one of the highlights of my trips to Scotland.  image

    Time for bed, said Zebedee...
