Supper eaten and washed up - on the sofa with a Norfolk G&T watching the Ireland programme for the second time.
By what sort of bad luck is it that on Mothering Sunday, when we should get a lie in, we have to put the clocks forward and get up an hour earlier than we should
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Or just get up when you wake up Dove. I will, especially since I have an early start on Monday for chappy coming to fit worktops. Then I can start filling cupboards and clearing the dining room of all the kitchen stuff.
I should like to grow toms but at this rate, I may well have to buy plants this year and save seed sowing for next year or maybe sow a few because, in theory, the growing season will be longer here than it was in Belgium and I will have a polytunnel to extend it.
I have potted on the new clems and all the new herbs and perennials I bought today. Got too hungry to do the roses.
I am thinking I might just make myself a hot chocolate and go to bed early.

Sorry, Obelixx's post popped in there. I was answering Fairy's suggestion about Fidget.
Lovely drive through the Forest of Bowland. Yes Obelixx, you're right - it's delightful; pretty little villages, lovely hills, streams, woods, sheep, wildness... I'd got the idea that Clitheroe was part of the "dark satanic mills", but it's an attractive little town. Apologies to Lancastrians.
OH's choir sang beautifully and won a cup, so a good day all round.
Tomorrow he's out all day, so I suspect I might be found in the garden. Your progress puts me to shame... weeding and seed sowing are top of the list of jobs, unless the grass is dry enough to cut.
We watched "Wild Ireland" again too, Dove. Can't wait to go to Donegal this summer!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Glad you had a lovely day Liri. Congrats to OH and his troupe

I got my back grass cut ( that sounds a bit rude ) I dug a lot of grit into the soil to help drainage because of the rainfall. It seems to be doing the trick. It had dried out well. The grass in the front is mostly moss so no cutting needed yet!
I've recorded the Ireland prog so will watch it tomorrow if I get a chance.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Gawd knows what the neighbours think. I answered the door to a neighbour in my dressing gown this morning. He wanted to know if hubby has a metal lathe. I thought I might as well get dressed and do some work. The leaves have been there all winter, thats why I'm a fair weather lazybones. Then I answer the door to a stranger wrapped in a towel.
I just checked my world clocks and I am now 10 hours ahead instead of 11 hours. I think ours change next weekend and then we'll be 9 hours difference. Could make communicating a bit easier for me.
We are sunny and in the low 20s today so lots of washing to do with the rain gone.
Northern Queensland, around Townsville are bracing for a category 5 cyclone which is expected to hit about Wednesday . They've got lots of people on the waiting list for repairing electricity and other things after it hits. I'm glad my SIL and her hubby have moved from there to the Sunshine Coast. At least it should be blown out by the time it gets down there.

I'm certainly not getting a lie in - is it too much to hope that I'll get a cup of tea made for me when I get home?
I don't think you've been lazy at all fidget. That's a fair bit of work done. Nice when it's productive too. Did you sell the man a plant instead?

Night Dove - I'm off shortly too. Collecting fairylet from work and then I should get to bed and hopefully a half decent sleep
