Happy Birthday to Hosta's OH - hope he has a great day image

Play is about 3 people sharing a flat and their trials and tribulations.  Going with two friends who were once my flatmates (about 25 years ago) - so we thought it might be fun !

Lilyp, HRH is snoring beside me on the lounge chair. image She doesn't wake until lunch time every day, then after a bit of activity and eating, spends the afternoon sort of dosing, then at dinner time drives us both crazy wanting to go in and then go out then in, then out for about an hour or so, then after her dinner,  back to sleep until bed time.

We're currently watching U.K. Voice With Tom, Wil, Gavin and Jennifer.  It's Will's team tonight.

Obelixx, I did read what you wrote earlier, but need to find it again. Was it Feb or Jan, do you remember?

    Hi all.

    Happy Birthday HostaHs O/H.

Have been around, posting om other threads, but I have been feeling I wanted to say some controversial things and having already upset a few people recently, I thought confining myself to gardening matters, might be more sensible.

Lovely day here, after a frost and I am just taking a break from planting out some perennials, that have been in the greenhouse all winter. One of my favourite tasks: placing the pots, moving them around 5 or 6 times, standing back, procrastinating and then finally planting them, knowing that in a few weeks they might be moved.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Happy Birthday to Hosta's OH.

Enjoy the theatre Chicky, sounds fun, even if the play is or isn't it will be fun being with your friends.

Lily P, it's French Boeuf Bourguignon with English dumplings.

Obelixx, when I had cramps when I was pregnant the Doc prescribed calcium and it did the trick. But I don't suppose your case is the same image

    Good morning everyone!

What busy lives you all lead...  I'm just off to our Novel Appreciation group (we read Candide by Voltaire this month, not my choice but I'm sure it was Good for Me), to be followed almost immediately (no time for lunch!!  image) by the first meeting this year of the oldie's gardening group.  We're planning where to go, so it'll be fun.

Is that "fusion" cuisine, BL?  French with a subtle English twist.  Sounds image anyway...

Obelixx, I have a chromebook and it's ace.  You can't install any programs on it like Skype, but because of that it is much less prone to attack by viruses etc.  But I'm sure your OH knows far more about it than I do.

Dove, hope your son gets his teeth sorted quickly.

Fairy, we have a photo of my Granny, aged 78, using a plastic carrier bag to do a bum slide on snow in Switzerland, on holiday with my family.  She never really grew up (which is probably why she lived to be 108).  An excellent role model, I've found  image

OH has tottered off to play golf this morning.  It's kill or cure for his lurgy - hope he has enough sense to stop if he feels rotten.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Love the sound of your Granny Liri.    Can't be doing with Voltaire but hope your garden group goes well.   My OH is off to have a practice this pm cos he's off to Belgium soon for a seniors v juniors match at his old golf club.   He will have a shopping list and will also come back with a Possum.  3 weeks for Easter hols!   Will she cope?

Pat E - it might even have been December as that lurgy went on so long.

Busy - thanks.  I take a calcium and magnesium supplement when I remember and took one before dinner and one at bedtime yesterday to no avail.    Might also be related to lack of exercise whilst the toe has been healing cos I haven't done daily walkies for nearly 6 weeks now.  Nearly there tho.

Have had a good raid on the MS and DIY this morning - lots of fish and clams and fresh fruit and veggies so sardines and salad for lunch and spag vongole for dinner.   Fish pie tomorrow.   Found some paint and rollers and a dust mask and some turned solid beech feet for the kitchen units we're recycling in the annex.   Just having some decaf and then it's on with the scruffy painting gear for me.

Just nipping in quickly while at work as my brain needs a rest from work related things but my bum seems fixed to the seat.

The lounge has been plastered. The rest of the house will get done next weekend: I think the plasterer under estimated his timings somewhat! Still at least I can still have my log burner fitted on Thursday and make a start on transforming one room from mess to... well.

    Less of a mess?

Oh my gosh what a mess. Nothing new and nothing unexpected but I've only just managed to get rid of all the old mess and now I have to start again. I laughed when I went to my grandparents and she apologised for the state the house was in as she hadn't dusted that day... DUST? I don't even remember what dust looks like. We are beyond the dust bunnies here.

Still if this warm weather can hold up a few more days I can... hide in the greenhouse planting tomato seeds while his lordship cleans up. (A girl can dream: I haven't managed any chilli seeds yet - may have to sneak off and buy some plants if I can find any suitable).

Ob: noticed Pauline talking about cramps (I will confess I haven't looked back to read all the past posts yet). I get cramps in my legs if I don't eat my banana every day. I think its low potassium. I also get stomach cramps (aside from the lady stomach cramps, and then the dysfunctional stomach cramps) if I'm not drinking enough water. Either way: not great! Do look after yourself. And if you drink enough you'll be so busy peeing you wont have to worry about cramps.
