We are having chicken Korma too, but it's a Sainsbury's ready meal. Bought some other bits and pieces to go with it. But first we are going for a proper English beer in the pub.image

Afternoon allimage - You've all been very busy and chatty.

Garden is looking good Hosta and pleased to hear BL has made it to Norfolk safely.

Obx - sorry to hear about the problems with the paint. Somebody told me it could be a problem if you use good quality, high pigment density paint like Farrow & Ball - I think the pigment can settle if you don't stir it all the time. Love the colours in their range but usually take the colour card to the Dulux mixing station and get them to scan the colour and make it up in Dulux paint. Quite a bit cheaper and easier to use. You probably can't do that in France though.

I've been in the garden most of the day. Been rejigging the back border - moving stuff about, weeding, cutting back, fertilizing and finally mulching. Two thirds done - will finish off tomorrow weather and back permitting.

Desperate to cut the grass - it's up to the cat's shoulders in places - but the moles had a whale of a time under there just after the turf was laid and there are areas where it is very uneven and soft. Could do with rolling first and I don't have a roller...

There's a roller on the lawn mower so maybe I'll try running it over with the blades set to the very highest cut. Hopefully I won't scalp any large areas that way.

Enjoy whatever you're up to this eveningimage

Topbird, know what you mean. Unless it's a tiger, your cat might get lost in mine.

No 1 daughter and her new man are coming down at Easter. I so need to get it cut.

Don't tell OH but I was cutting some of our tussocky grass behind the ruin with the blades set on high and the mower complained and over-heated.......  I put him away hoping he'll be better when he's cooled down.

TB - this paint is Dulux.   The blue one is gorgeous but so thick I can barely stir it and it's hard work wit a roller.  The terracotta is a mix and has come up really red and was alsoi a pg to push with a roller and dries patchy.  The peachy shade is just the terracotta mixed with loads of normal white acrylic and glides on beautifully.  It will all come together when I get the curtains made and hung and chappies have been with the new kitchen.

I've used Farrow and Ball before when I was doing some furniture painting.  I can get ot here if I tae out a mortgage.  Even Dulux is about 3 times the price in the UK.

I have aching shoulders now but can't have my shower till the lemon meringue pie is cooked.   Trying it out in the combi oven so need to keep an eye on it.    Barnsley chops and sweet potato rosti with some green stuff for mains.   Saturday is not for dieting!

    Bon appetit everyone.

Evening all .Been slightly awol today as I've been dealing with a few things (switching utilities) and cleaning  image

Rain eventually went off and I did a couple of bits and pieces outside. A murky, misty sort of day, but quite pleasant - about 8 or 9 degrees and no wind. Very mild for the time of year.

Fogsville again for tomorrow, but to clear up a bit later in the day, so I'll head north east and try and catch a little hill at Braemar if the fog clears enough. Getting stir crazy, hill wise image

Grass needs cut here as it's started growing with the rain and mild temps,  but it's too wet to be on it, so that'll have to wait a while.

Your 'space' looks good Hosta. Bet your pleased with all your hard work. Helps keep that lithe figure you've got too  image

    Glad you arrived safely BL.

Can't keep up with everything else here - I've only had a quick swatch at posts, so I'll just say hello to everyone and hope you've had a goodish day. Cop out I know...image

They're a right royal pain in the h**e, Dove. Hopeless - the whole lot of them

They sent me a link to activate the new account, and you then fill in all the usual cr*p,  but the start date said 23rd August. Should be 28th March. You couldn't make it up. No wonder people can't be a**ed changing

Did  the online chat, and had to repeat myself with endless details. Told the person I wasn't impressed if they couldn't even get that right, and that I wanted an email showing the correction.  I ain't holding my breath...image

Feet are up, but I have to go and pick up fairylet from her shift at work at about 9pm  image

You're right Fairy - I'm IT literate and used to do all sorts of stuff online  and deal with all sorts of people for work - but it's such a faff and as you say, you just can't trust them to get it right ... and whereas at work I had the contacts to get heads to roll if need be, with this sort of stuff 99% of the time you end up just banging your own head up against a brick wall.

We're tied in for another 11 months with the same supplier with a reasonable saving ... I'll think about it again in 10 months time ... it's Saturday image

I got the email confirming the date, but I also told them  I might cancel within the fourteen days if they didn't buck their ideas up. Wasting my breath really...image

Having changed utility supplier in November, we thought all was well until we noticed in Jan that the old supplier was still taking the direct debit (which we'd forgotten to cancel).  OH sorted it out over the phone - then in Feb we got 3 identical letters from the old supplier saying "You've cancelled your direct debit..."   Last week we had a visit from a meter reader, for... the old supplier...  image
