Morning Lily P ............... sorry you were anxious yesterday ............ kids eh? We bring them up to be brave and fearless and go out and conquer the world, and we still worry about them ((hugs))
I think if Scotland starts hanging onto our good weather, we might instruct Mrs May to give Nicola Sturgeon an invoice - like the one Trump gave Merkel
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I have just received a request from Possum for my chocolate carrot cake recipe as she is making a cake for the student council meeting on Wednesday. It's one I made as cup cakes for her morning snack at school (hiding carrots which she wouldn't eat - and also as a whole cake for her birthdays.
Sorry you were worried yesterday LP. and hope you can relax more today.
Joyce - we have 3 square wooden bins provided by the local council for 35€ each. Already full so we shall probably get more and I'm trusting teh extra sunshine here will make them hotter and faster than the ones we left behind in Belgium.
Busy - how lovely to share gardening fun with your daughter. She sounds amazing. I think I shall have to wait at least 2 decades for mine to get the bug..
I'm off to make some fresh coffee. Anyone want one? How's your pot doing Dove?

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."

Don't worry Dove - I think normal service is being resumed tomorrow....
I missed that - what did he invoice her for? Big orange clowny man...
I think I've caught up...not sure I can remember everything though, so apologies for that. Great present Joyce - you'll make good use of that. My oldest is the same age as yours Obelixx- the two of them are getting the hang of this present malarkey now. Useful and cute gardeny themed gifts (fancy string!)
...but also a ticket for Scottish Opera's La Boheme in May
LP - hope all was ok. Difficult to deal with when children aren't nearby, but more difficult in those circumstances.
Hope AuntyRach is coping without her tea this morning. Not sure I could do that
Liri- re The Railway Children, that line makes my cry every time I hear it. It's what I wrote on my Dad's funeral flowers.
Yvie and BL - you had lovely days too. I intended going to the cemetery on the way home yesterday, but will go today. It was so late and with the girls laying on their surprise dinner for me, I felt I couldn't keep them waiting any longer. Felt very guilty though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Dove, after wondering how we'd go with the winter sheets tonight, just after dark, there was thunder all around and now heavy rain. Looks as though the temp might get a bit lower.

I've seen Boheme more than any other Opera.
Grange Park Opera
Royal Albert Hall, twice.
Holland Park
ENO ( part of my 3 operas in 2 days)
I'm sure I've seen it somewhere else too .
