Evening all. Glad you had a good day GWRS - albeit not the result you hoped for.
Everyone seems to have been busy. That's a lot of grass T'bird
I caught another prog last night that you might like, so I'll give you the details later.
I did find a hill - not unshrouded, and one I did last summer - but not too bad considering the weather! A bit damp on the early on, but cleared a little.Summit was fairly clag free, until ten minutes away when the wind and sleet came in. As is often the way, it cleared after I got back down to the landrover track. I also had a bum slide down one of the snow fields, after following someone else's tracks. They'd done it first, so it would have been rude not to.....Happy days!
Gorgeous big moon on the way home, and the small people had got a Chinese, so I've had a bit of that. Older small person brought home a cherry pie too - it's pie week apparently, so that's me sorted after I have a shower
I also 'aquired' some frog spawn from one of the burns alongside the path. Lots of frogs about too. I always worry when they spawn in the puddles on tracks, but they rarely dry out before the tads have become froglets. Daft things.
Shower time and then a catch up here.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
although the cherry pie and custard isn't too bad either....
It's a grand wee hill, and I intended revisiting it on a good day to go right along the ridge and down the end. Will still do that some time. No sign of the merlins unfortunately, and no red squirrels - although it's red squirrel country. Plenty of fat pheasants in the glen, and some buzzards keening overhead, but no chance of seeing them.
Summit view could have been better

Hello everyone. I've been lazing in bed reading all your doings. Very enjoyable way to start the day. I heard rain overnight, so it must have been heavy if I could hear it.
Regarding earache, I have it regularly. There has been a grommet in the drum since 1981, which helps to drain it. This is the result of living in Darwin for 13 years until 1974. In those days we used to call it "tropical ear". Technically "middle ear infection". It's currently infected again, but nothing new there. I just put up with it aching. At least I don't have to resort to antibiotics like I used to years ago (With the unpleasant side effects in my privates).
Fairy, I had a smile about your slide. Hope there werenot any sharp rocks hiding there.
Ive already forgotten everything else that was written, but you should know that I enjoyed all of it. I dont mean to ignore any of you. Oh yes. Dove and Tintagel, GWRS and footie, Lilyp and her lovely dog, Busyl mowing long grass. It's amazing how much was soaked up, but it's hard to bring it back to the front of the brain.
Hubby's 60th Birthday to-day. No idea what he wants to do. Tenants moved out yesterday so he has the notion to go and start prepping for re-decorating as required. I fancy visiting Rosemoor and might even take him for a pint later. See how it pans out.
One of the good thing about nobody in the flat, I can go stick the washing machine on ( in garage below flat)
I think it's over 40 years since I bum slid on snow.
Morning Hosta ....eeek frost. Doesn't seem to have got this far east.
Congrats to LilyP's faithful friend ....whar a lovely thing to be involved in
Theatre in Richmond tonight - but a day working in London first. Means I have to drive to Richmond and get the tube in from there......which means I'd better get myself going. Have a good day everyone

That sounds like a brilliant day Fairy

Ah well - can't win 'em all, Fairy. Glad you enjoyed the walk (and the bum slide!) anyway.
Any sign of Punkdoc today? Hope his earache is improving. It's 50-odd years since I had bad earache, but I can still remember how it felt...

Just been over to stick the washing in the machine. Birds singing their little hearts out, but , eek, frost on cars. Wasn't expecting that.
