For nearly four years after having moved here we had our meters read double! Twice a year under our name and twice a year for the previous owner. Each time we explained what was happening and each time the man said he'd tell 'them' and get it changed ... it only stopped when we changed to an online tariff image

I had to threaten British Gas that I would take them to court for breach of Data Protection. They were still sending ALL written communications about the power supply to our new property to our old address 2 years after we moved - and despite numerous communications from me.

They were sending details of all our direct debit arrangements etc to our previous house. The threat of litigation regarding not keeping our private financial arrangements confidential was the only thing that finally sorted it out.

    Totally, totally useless.

And BT were nearly as bad.

These companies must deal with hundreds of house moves each month. You'd think they would have a foolproof system in place by now...

We have had a problem with our landline for weeks. Every two days a very nice gentleman phones (I can't hear what he is saying due to cracking) to tell me the fault has been fixed, at least I think that is what it's about.

eventually after agreeing to pay costs, should they apply, we had a date arranged for an engineer. Less than 5 mins later said gentleman phones to say appointment is cancelled as fault fixed  Arggggh!

Morning all. Looks  like the weather men were right. Rain overnight seems to have moved on so hopefully a nice day driving round Devon and Cornwall.

    Devon.

Morning Hosta and Dove and those to come. Afties Pat if you're around

Enjoy your driving Hosta - always good if it's not chucking it down   image

Dry here after rain overnight, and very mild - 7 when I took fairylet to work. Wall to wall fog on the hills though so I'm having to rethink what I do or where I go. 120 miles to do a not very exciting hill isn't really worthwhile, but it's only the far east that's to clear. Perhaps I could go somewhere locally at lower level, which I don't really like. Have to do summat image

We become visitors to homes, hospitals children's centres

its been found to really help patients with communication problems

all the dog has to do is enjoy being patted and take treats gently, my dog is a princess so she will love the attention?
