    Good morning all image

Overcast here but the promise of 'Bryter Layter' image  Some of you may recognise a musical allusion there.

OH is on leave so we may head out for the coast - a flask and some sandwiches and parking up with cameras and sketchbooks somewhere with a view.

    Have a fun reunion Chicky.

Looking forward to it Joyce. image  We're thinking of going down to Southwold where my late parents used to live - there will be memories, but hopefully the happy ones will come to the fore ...

Morning all. Awake until after 4.30 this morning so feeling mega plap.

Hubby to work at 9am, into Waitrose to hear what Bonus we get this year, then dentist at 10 then the day is my own. They've forecast the fog to clear then be a little brighter later. Fingers crossed.

Morning all, afternoon Pat image glad the weather has cooled down a bit for you. I will have to make a note of those climbers you suggested and look them up! image I'm after evergreen if possible but there is plenty of room for more than one! image

Lilyp, glad your daytime snoozing didn't prevent nighttime sleep, sometimes the best thing to do when your Ill is hibernate!! Hope your on the mend x

GWRS, chuffed you got your tickets! image let's hope its a great game! Any planting suggestions welcome!

Lirio, sounds like you had a lovely afternoon! One of my favorite things to do is stare at the ground and look for new signs of spring. image

BusyL, well done OH on the tractor tyre! So will there be a stumpery? image

Hope you got some sleep Hosta! But at least you were awake to witness the reveal of my amazing pergola lol! image enjoy your day to yourself, I love those days!

Clari and Pat, think I may come under the strong woman category, might look delicate but strong as an ox and stubborn as a mule! Amusing to be 'rescued' at times by those that think you incapable! image

Joyce, hope you manage to get out into the garden as intended and that the weather is kind to you image

Chicky, the talk sounds fascinating! Wouldn't mind reading up on his approach. Glad you like the curve of the pergola. It will look much better when planted up but at the moment the cats think its a climbing frame and I think the neighbours think I've built a very sturdy duvet cover airer! image hope you enjoy your reunion tonight, after twenty five years it should be an interesting catchup!

Dove and OH, sounds like a lovely day! Wrap up warm though! Don't want stiff necks from those Southwold breezes! X

Morning to all to come! Have a great day image

Goodness me - I turn my back to put some mascara on and you all appear!   Wonky, the only thing about evergreen climbers on there is that they will provide more 'surface area' for strong winter winds to batter - but then you are in the town centre so maybe the winds aren't as bad as up here in Norfolk ... maybe some evergreen and some deciduous? image  Maybe a pretty clematis or two for your birthday? image

Morning Dove, think we should be OK with the winds in that spot. Our bit of town is in a dip, its a walled garden and the only place the wind gets in is down the path at the side of the house. image the aim is maximum screening from above neighbours! image not sure whether I'm going to string wires across the poles or afix trellis, we shall see! image

Beaus Mum, get out in the garden! Its so good for uplifting, worked on me image I personally loved the shorts imagereally knows how to wear an outfit! image
