Mine too.  Ten minutes in the garden before my hands froze... removing a forest of tiny sycamore seedlings from the gravel patio.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

After an early frost it has been a beautiful day with a fair bit of heat when the sun was out.

"Grass man"  dug up three shrubs which were passed their best, trimmed the heathers and did three hours planting in the terraced areas which I now find difficult to manage.

The weather is going to be ideal over the weekend for you Fairy.  Friend's son and family are doing the Merrick on Sunday.....it will suit the children.

It's all very busy with you Obelixx and the work in and out seems to be progressing well

Liri,  don't mention sycamore seedlings image

A day in the tunnel for me. Splitting gingers and cannas. Tomorrow is to be sunny all day and I'm going to be stuck on  a flippin' till all day.

I thought , as I'm not driving, I'd not have to do my overtime, but no, they want to move me from driving onto the tills. ggrrrrr

No more overtime for the foreseeable. Far too much to do  in the garden now.

    Devon.

Chilly here too. I've put the heating on for a bit. Pity about the seedlings Liri- we didn't have too much of a problem round the corner with them. Think the wind always blew them along the road! Hope the fingers have thawed out. I haven't done anything outside this afternoon. Been sorting a few indoor issues instead.

Hope they have a good day Joyce - weather's fairly set for the next few days I think. I haven't done any of the southern hills, apart from Tinto, which is near LP. It didn't really thrill me I'm afraid, and I have a bit of a block about heading south - don't know why. I think it's because so many of the hills there are a bit featureless and pudding-y. It's the same as the low level walking...don't care for it much either, except when I'm getting fit. I really need to have a word with myself about that, and kick my butt...   image image

Your grass man has been busy. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I spent most of yesterday trying to split Roscoeas. One I gave up on. I tipped it out of the pot to see a huge mass of roots. As they are very brittle, there was no way. I just gave it a much bigger pot and hope for the best. If it spreads out nicely, I may get some off it next winter. The other one, I took an hour gently untangling 5 octopus type Vannin. I eventually did it, and repotted them. Now, do I risk digging up the Red Ghurka yet or wait until they start to come through?. They are very dormant at the moment.

Finished cutting out dead wood from Felicité et Perpetué, 2 barrows full, hadn't done it for 3 years. Have a red scratch on my nose. Raining now.

Have just made large chicken and leek pie for tonight, enough for OH tomorrow if he wants it when I'm with daughter. But friend in the village has just rung to ask him he he wants to eat with them tomorrow and she's making leek and potato pie!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hope everyone ok. Feel for you Hosta, I did last Saturday so off this weekend.

Chilly in house, despite the alleged 13 degrees today, so heating on and snacks being prepared ready for some Comic Relief TV. Hang on... will that mean no GW??!

My garden and I live in South Wales.

G&T, chilli con carne, Gardeners World, Only Connect and last night's Pottery Throw Down - enjoying Friday nightimage

More tidying and mulching done - back is aching a bit now but I'm showered and clean and the fire is lit so time to relax.

I could right fancy chicken and leek pie though....image
