Yeah, very funny. The small pots are now stacked and another lot have been spread out to dry. I'd like to see you dig a trench in our rocks/soil, Edd. We are on the side of a hill and all the soil has moved down to the river I think. The trench will only be deep enough to bury a 2" pipe from the tap to reach the bird bath and on the way irrigate with sprinklers. The whole hot/dry thing has become too much for me nowadays, so he thought up this solution, should be good for next summer hopefully.
29c today I think. Shower predicted for tonight, but I don't believe them. We are just west of a mountain range which stops rain coming over from the coast.
The tree is a Eucalyptus - haven't bothered to work out which species. I need to collect buds, seed pods and leaves for identification. We have hundreds of Eucs on our place so I don't bother.
He used the jackhammer, not the bucket. The tractor is to transport the generator on the back platform. It's very heavy. The trench is finished, and some of the pipe has been laid. He's even attached some of the sprinkler heads. I'm starting to get excited. Whooo!.
the clouds are arriving. I still don't believe the forecast.
Hello again Edd Hope you and the family are well. Yes I'm still around, Wonky too. Not in charge tho ... That's Nora and Daniels job. They couldn't pay me enough ... more difficult than herding catsI ... And the less said about them on here the better ... Hosta's getting far too rich.
Pdoc Sorry to hear your ear's still so painful - if it's bad enough to keep you awake wouldn't it be a good idea to see your GP and get some antibiotics? I'm not one who asks for them for every little thing, but a perforated eardrum is no joke You don't have to be extra brave just cos you're a medic you know

Morning all, hope everyone's well. Sorry to hear about your earache punkdoc . Need to look back and see if Wonky's pergola is progressing.
Not been on here much, been very busy at work. But of an emotional roller coaster this week - lots of really good bits but also very angry / upset about some aspects and struggling to keep my equilibrium in order to get everything done in a way that will allow me closure when I leave. Woke up very early this morning fretting. Sigh.
Think I need a bit of garden time to calm me down . The weather looks okay for today and I don't need to go out until 3... so you know where I'll be.
