Hubby says it is a good job we are not there at the moment. We did some fantastic dives on the SS Yongala, which went down on 23rd March 1911, with 122 lives lost, in a cyclone. It was found 12 miles out from Alva Beach, near Cape bowling green. It was found in 1958. We went out of Townsville on the liveaboard MV Spoilsport. It is now an amazing reef full of marine life, but quite challenging as a dive because of the tearing currents that go across it.
I don't suppose they blamed global warming for the cyclone in 1911.
Stay safe Pat. Lets hope it blows out before it gets inland.
Hi Fidget. We're well south of that area, thanks. A few thousand miles I'd say. What often happens though, is that it influences the rain patterns for a while, so we might get some rain from it eventually. Fingers crossed for those that live in the district.
Afties Pat - morning to fidget if you're still about, and those to come
Hope you get the rain and nothing else Pat. We might moan about the weather here in Britain, but at least we don't have that kind of extreme. Gales and floods now and again, but nothing like that sort of devastation.
Yawning a bit here, but I'm up and half organised to walk after I take daughter to work. I'll have quick look here while I eat my porridge.
Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather and whatever you're up to
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Good morning all
G'day Pat
Have a lovely walk Fairy. Looking forward to pics.
It looks like a beautiful morning - it'll be even better if we've lost that horrid chilly wind off the north sea which kept temps so low yesterday.

Hello Dove, Fairy and Hosta. Hope you have a good day. Ours has been very nice for a change. Neither too hot, wet nor cold.
Glad it's been a good day Pat
Time for you to sit down for the evening and put your feet up?

Exactly Dove. Have just finished off leftover curried chicken. We're now watching Neil Oliver in the Orkneys.
Oooh! I do like Neil Oliver
