Had a nice Mother's Day at Karen's, went to Wyvale and another GC, bought some nice pelargoniums and some trailing plants for Karen's baskets.

Glad you've both had a lovely day .......... I have too, but it could have been warmer here in Norfolk. image

Few more hours of work done in the garden. Got quite warm in the sun but once the sun moved round it was decidedly chilly. We're obviously close enough to the east coast to be affected by the same breezes as Dove.

'Making' lots of new plants as I go - although none of them are that exciting - just space fillers. I know  a couple of more reasonably priced perennial nurseries in the locality so I shall be paying them a visit soon.image

Love Joyce's pressie - those closest to us know what really makes us gardeners happy don't they? - much better present than chocolates and flowers (although those would be welcome too!)

Hope everyone has had a good day - particularly the Mums.

A great gardening and garden-chilling weekend here. Exhausted tonight - probably because been pottering outside most of the day, including being up an hour earlier than I really wanted too!

Need to 'fast' tonight, for blood tests in morning... just researching to see if I can squeeze a cuppa and biccy in before bed at 10ish...

Loads of 'information' re fasting for blood tests on the internet-web! Some say not to eat a fatty meal the night before and eats loads of oats for a few weeks before it's due (oops! Sausage and mash! Oh well - had loads of veg and no pud so...) but surely your bloods should present what is a normal day for you? The worst part of fasting bloods is not having a brew in the morning before journeying to the clinic/surgery but I have smashed the system as OH can take bloods so got the stuff and form from GP and I can lie in bed, with a cuppa cooling on the side, and have them done :-)

Hope all relaxing, or flollopped (image) tonight.

Great present Joyce.  Possum has a lot of growing up to do before she buys me anything like that.   Doesn't approve of gardening presents but she is only 22.

TB - making new plants is very rewarding I find.

I have had a wonderful day doing absolutely nothing in the end.  Cleared up the early mess and tidied up the dining room (doing service as a temporary kitchen) and then checked all my babies and that was that.  I have flolopped and read and played with and cuddled the kittens and dogs and laughed out loud at Cosmos who is wooing Bonzo to distraction and making Rasta jealous.

    Exhausting really.

Have to be up early tomorrow for worktop man and his mate.

Obelixx       At 50, my daughter is seriously into gardening which helps.

Wish I could see Cosmo wooing Bonzo.......the mind boggles !!

Evening all, it's been a lovely day 17C.  Visited mum this morning and then spend a few hours in the garden tidying and edging lawns.  It was glorious.  Went to Firstborns for dinner.  It was a lovely end to a very tiring week.  I've been looking after Secondborn and Jonah for 3 days as they both have this awful coughing virus.  Both had upset tummies and Jonah wasn't sleeping so Nanna had a few night duties to do.  They both seem a bit better now so fingers crossed.  Hope weather is good tomorrow, more gardening to do.image
