My regular commute before retiring was from Waterloo Station to Victoria Street so I have walked that route many hundreds of times usually silently cursing tourists getting in my way and swearing revenge when I next go on holiday to their countries. Despite my grumpy old git persona I was regularly asked to take their photos on the bridge with their own cameras and was always happy to do it. At that time of day a lot of the people on the bridge would have been tourists enjoying the sights and probably feeling safe having seen the substantial security presence around Westminster, my heart goes out to them.

The police on duty at Westminster have a tough job trying to balance security needs and the hoards of tourists innocently rubber necking at Parliament and do it very well so it is sickening to behold such a pointless act of violence.

DIL was working late so I went to help son feed and bath the 2 little boys (2 and 1). Fun evening, played and read stories. Tipping with rain, 5°, feels cold. OH was at choir practice.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not really in the right frame of mind for chit chat so I'll just wish you all a good night - hope all our families and friends are safe and well.
