    Hi all.

Heavy snow and freezing cold here, so don't feel so bad reclining on the sofa.

My only problems are, the risk of pressure sores and that OH point blank refuses to feed me grapes, dressed in a toga.

6N. to look forward to later.

    Stay safe and warm everybody.

I shall be serving medicinal brandies later, if anyone needs one.

morning, no snow here yet punk but I think we are to get it tomorrow.  Think the sofa is the safest place for you. You don't want to slip outside and add to your injuries!!! Hope 6N is what you want, we nervous about tomorrow.

hosta, I love your box, who could resist it as a summer home?

hope Joyce and all other poorlies better, there are so many struck down.

i am nursing a pulled muscle in my back which is very painful but self imposed, will I never learn?!

have a good day and stay warm and safe

  • Morning all!

Snow on the hills but drizzle down here in the valley.  Got to go out and buy some food though - the ravening hoards have descended (well, only son & his wife actually).  Next door's cats are grumpy cos I did as I was told and ejected them after breakfast, and they don't want to sit in the shed where it's dry, they want me to make it STOP RAINING.

    Nice nest box, Hosta.

Best wishes to the lurged.  Hope they win, Pdoc!

What's the next knitting project, Dove?

Another freezing but gloriously sunny start today.   Checked the moon at midnight but no penumbral bits, just bright silvery light.

Exciting morning so far.   I took the kittens out for their first adventure.   Minstrel was straight off with her tail up and bushed out.  Cosmos huddled by the back door and then crept round the corner to lurk in the rescued clematis and then down by the stash of rusty birds waiting for a place in the garden.   Minstrel galloped past and then he was off too and Rasta came out to supervise.

Minstrel was up and down the ash tree and scatting all over and then we had two kittens up the walnut tree to see who could get highest up and furthest along.  Minstrel won that and Cosmos, of course, finally found his fear so OH had to climb up a ladder and into the tree to bring him down.

Yesterday they both went fishing in my dahlia buckets.  Guess which one fell in!

No gardening today as it is still freezing.   Bulbs in the ground and in pots are coming along well.  Dahlias are now in trays in the spare room.

Sturdy looking nest box Hosta.  Hope you get some tenants.

Pdoc - typical male with man flu.  Pressure sores indeed!   Hope your rib isn't too painful tho.

No phone scammers here so far but a persistent one on the net who occasionally got past my malware but I think we have it sorted now.   Supermarket raid this pm and present hunting.  We've been invited to dinner by our neighbours.

    Stay safe everyone.

I think the sofa is the best place for everyone today. I've been out for the papers and the locality is full of  people stocking up for a seige.  It is snowing gently here, but not settling as the air temp is 2C.

I've thrown food out for the birds and that is it for the time being.

Still in purple d'gown and may remain so for rest of the day. Feeling much better but still sleeping a lot.

There has been an occasional snowflake  but that's all

Hosta, the blue tits may move in on Valentine's day image

Obelixx - there are pics online of the lunar eclipse   The moon was very bright here at 2am.

I'm surprised that Cosmos wasn't first 'off the mark'.

Obelixx, you have obviously not read the research showing beyond doubt, that man flu is one of the most unpleasant conditions to exist.image

Only for the woman suffering the man with man flu!

Me too Joyce but Minstrel has been desperate to go outside for a week or two now.  She was found outside - under a vehicle and covered in oil - so it wasn't a first for her.   Cosmos really enjoyed himself until he discovered he doesn't like facing down a tree trunk.  No doubt he'll learn form watching Minstrel when they go out again.
