I have an Annies winter orange too, but its a bit slow to get going.
We went to Chatsworth last weekend. The place was snided with loads of deer as we went up to the farm shop for lunch. Mum couldn't see them, but the optician reckons her cataracts aren't bad enough to have them done. Coming back, she said she could see them. Trouble was, they had moved around and somehow been replaced by sheep.
I bet if she offers to have them done privately they will be bad enough.
GWRS - enjoy your Belgian beer. Theyv'e done agood job of marketing here so OH is not going short of choice and is also starting to explore the local brews. I hate the smell.
The problem with French wine is that you need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of térroir, what the weather was like for the harvest and what socks they wore when they trampled the grapes. In Belgium we had easy access to reliable and tasty Oz and Kiwi wines plus a few favourite Spanish, Italian and Chilean wines so we knew what we liked and what went with what. Here, it's a lottery and the SMs don't even have consistent stock so we find one we like and then can't find it again.
I may just give up when my supplies of NZ nobillo have gone.
Wonky - I'm looking forward to introducing kittens to the great oudoors.
Fairy - hope you get a decent walk next weekend.
Dunno about signs of spring but our mimosas are about to burst.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hi Chicky. Sounds as though you've got some lovely birds around your place. We have some Blue Wrens flitting around the garden, but they're not vocal. Too busy flirting with the females.
Weve had rain!!! Unbelievable. 9mm. Today was very humid, but I'll take that any time over stinging hot sun which burns through your clothes.
Just had a phone call. One of the drivers has called in sick. I've got my white stallion being saddled up as we speak so I can ride to the rescue.
I'm due to finish by 1.30 so , on balance, better than the 19.30 shift I was supposed to be doing.
Looks grey and wet out there.
Obs, there's method in my madness. I'm still under the tax threshold so I can do a bit more before April 5th, then it's " I'm too busy in the garden, I can't do any overtime" I've given up paying tax.
Morning all/afties Pat. Hope you've not melted completely today. Think most people ( well - Hosta anyway!) would prefer the dry, searing heat to the humid kind.Searing heat isn't something we get much of anyway. I don't like either kind, so I'll stick with the frost we have today.
Heating went off piste this morning anyway, so it's just as well I don't mind it cooler, and I'm glad I covered the car last night - before I dozed off on the settee...
Method in your madness Hosta
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hope lurgies are retreating and our french friends got through the storms unscathed.
Dawn chorus well underway out there - won't be long before I'm getting up in the light

Clever thinking Hosta. With spring creeping around those extra pennies will come in useful.
Wrap up warm though; my back door was frozen solid this morning
Indeed so Clari, after all, those Hostas will be starting to shoot soon.
Don't get too carried away now

Good morning all
Glad you're well armoured and suitably mounted Hosta
I'd always prefer to do an early rather than a late shift.
