    Hi all.

Day on the sofa feeling miserable with the lurgy.

Not helped by beautiful sunshine outside and a terrible rugby match on tele.

How can you lie there and think of England

Oh dear punkdoc, I hope it doesn't drag on as it did with Dove and me.

I'll wait until OH is back and he can bang in the fence posts. Horses won't go there until May.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Everyone I know who had had this lurgy says how totally exhausted they feel , and I've certainly spent a lot of ghe time sleeping - so be careful not to overdo it Pdoc.

    Sweet dreams folks ((hugs)) image

    Hello all.

we received a phone call at 5.30am today to say there was a fire. Hubby up and off and is still not back  at 12.20pm. image I've been trying to hang washing out, but the wind is very strong and also very hot.   I'm inside now , between loads of washing, but when I come inside, I start to sweat all over. So much for a nice fresh start to the day.  I'm not looking forward to hanging the second lot of washing out.

Catch you all when you've had a good sleep.

Well he eventually got home at 4.45pm after a very hot day. He's currently in the shower trying to get all the black ash off him. image

    Horrible day!

Hi Pat - what a horrible day you've both had, right enough  image

The only saving grace is getting a shower after all that!

I'm looking at the forecast to walk and it couldn't be more different from you- the fog and mist all day is now fog and snow! I'll take daughter to work in a moment and then see what I'll do.  image

Hi Fairy. Yes I'm glad it's easing now. We had a loud thunder clap about 5 pm them a huge cloudburst (the gauge shows 3mm).  Unbelievable crazy weather. I had just brought the washing in, - no kidding, I was just walking back to collect the pegs when it started. It was heavy enough that the whole lot of washing would have been soaked.

we were relaxing just now when Hubby jumped up and said I've left my personalGPS in the fire truck!  He's fairly sure it wouldn't be there if he left it until tomorrow, so he has gone back to the fire shed. No rest for the wicked they say.image

Self seeded sunflowers in the beg bed, I didn't have the heart to rip them out when they appeared and now I'm pleased. The Crimson Rosellas have discovered them, so they get a bit chewed.image

Lovely pic of the sunflowers Pat. You get those dyas don't you - nothing goes right! Are those tasty - the zucchini? I just wondered if different varieties had different flavours too.

It's sleety snow here, so I think it'll be another day at home. I had a look on the webcams forvarious areas and it's pretty miserable everywhere. No chance of views. Grrrr  image

    Morning all.

    Glad hubby safe Pat.

Today marks one whole year without booze. I'm very pleased with myself.

Unfortunately , it's also my first day back to work. No doubt there'll be riots over lettuce.
