Pat- thinking of you. I'm sure it doesn't get any easier to bear, but hopefully you can remember some of the happier times and it will bring a smile or two xxx
Obleixx- haven't you heard? He'll just say they've found alternative facts instead....
I don't want to tempt fate, but it's actually starting to look ever so slightly brighter...and calmer...

Yes, thanks for that thought Fairy,it really is much easier now. I think the appointments with a psychologist is helping. She has given me many good ways to think. Also, I really did enjoy seeing the kangaroos being a bit more brave when they knew we were watching. They often take off if they see us looking,
BusyL I've not been getting notifications either. Bit irritating,I have to keep going in and touching latest posts to see if there are more.
Glad that new ways of thinking are helping Pat. I think we all need that or we get stuck in a groove, even for every day stuff, so it must be a boon when you have real troubles to get thru.
Plan A today was get washed and dressed while OH walked the dogs and then head off out to explore and have lunch as soon as he was sluiced. However, Possum was only just starting her morning exercise routine and has has only just got out of the shower so plan B is brunch at home and then explore. She'll just have to video my "restaurant" instead.

Hi all our weather here is very windy but dry although like you Pat we have been forecast rain, but the wind has blown it away. Our youngest gradaughter from her left to teach english in China on wednesday so she keeps sending photos to her mums cell phone. She says you buy 3 eggs in a plastic bag so today they were shopping at walmart to get more food. We have been married 56yrs today but we are not doing anything special. OH is watching the cycling and then his football team is playing tonight at so he will watch that.
Spent morning at B@Q looking for bits to repair greenhouse.
Bought plastic sheeting, clips for attaching sheets to frame and tape that is supposed to stick anything to anything else. I expect that means it wall all end up stuck to me.
All I need to do now is find the b####y door [ for some reason I am thinking Michael Caine ]
Am off to London next w/e, to see Hockney exhibition and for a bit of posh nosh. It was OH's Christmas present to me.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Is that the Gorilla tape doc? If it's anything like as good as the glue - it'll be brilliant. I used the glue for securing a batten to the house wall to take the bolt for the gate. I couldn't get a hole drilled deeply enough for the rawlplugs and screws. I was sceptical - but it's rock solid. Stronger than the new post the gate's attached to - which split at the hinges in the last stormy period. It's now all glued together with ....yup
Michael Caine - very good
I decided to go to the nursery after dropping fairylet at work. The idea was to go for a walk nearby after as it was supposed to dry up, but it was still lashing down. Of course, it cleared on the way home
Might just go for a quick jaunt round here and then brave the forecast snow for tomorrow and head up one of the hills at R and be Thankful.
I bought two white versions of the Lady Hellebore I have and compost. Nothing else

No notifications here either, BL, apart from a big bunch last night.
Really horrible gloomy wet weather - forecasters say no less than 90% probability of rain until tomorrow morning. Did the shopping this morning when there was 80% probability, and got pretty wet, but we were running out of staples. Since then I've stayed in apart from emptying the veg rubbish - a surprisingly rewarding trip into the garden, because in the past couple of days 3 hellebores have opened fully, and green buds are swelling on the philadelphus.
Veg bake will soon be in the oven, using up all sorts of bits from the fridge including half a parsnip, 4 cauliflower florets and 3 wrinkled sprouts. It's a favourite here, always different depending on what needs using, but always containing spuds, carrots and leeks, with white sauce and a topping made from breadcrumbs and cheese, this time with added chopped nuts. I don't do cordon bleu but OH seems to like what I give him...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Tried a new restaurant (new to us) for OH's birthday, really delicious meal. His favourite restaurant was on holiday.
Very quiet in town this afternoon, half the shops were shut. I rarely go there on a Saturday, I always imagine it to be bustling. But the car parks were full in the big shopping area where the hypermarket is, on the way home.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Just re-read the above. "Running out of staples" could be misconstrued... staples as in essential foodstuffs - we're not going into the publishing business.
Hope the weather is kind for your R and be T jaunt tomorrow, Fairy.
