That's OK Liri. Many of our native plants have that as well (needing fire to Break the dormancy). I find those programs fascinating as well.
Topbird, if it's not breaching privacy, I'd be interested to know where your SIL lives (Roughly any way). I'd Iike to know if she's OK..I've got a friend who lIves sort of between Goulburn and Yass on a back road, but I know she's ok at the moment. My daughter is there because they're having a birthday party there tonight.
SIL lives in Isabella Plains which is a suburb in the south of Canberra. She always describes herself as living 'outside' Canberra but (now I've actually looked at a map) it looks pretty much part of it! MIL always describes her as being north of Canberra - but she's not!
Can you tell we haven't been out to see her since she moved from Nowra about 5 years ago?
Anyway, she looks to be well away from the fires you were describing - but you've reminded me that an email or SKYPE call is overdue so I'll do that later tonight.
Hope it cools down for you soon!

Off to cut down the raspberries now...

Sorry Pat. Not good timing given your news; hope those poor people are ok. We are so lucky in the UK.

Hope everyone's loved ones are ok.
I remember my cousins telling me of the terror of being caught up in the Tas fires a few years ago. ((Hugs)) to all.
And now ... If you're ready ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Tummo Dove. Very tempting.
Topbird, I just realised that you won't get a response from your SIzl because it's after 1am here.
Night all
Just in case you're still awake Pat...
