  • Hello all!

It's snowing on & off here too, but very little is staying put.  Certainly not enough to make a snowball like yours, Dove!  It's pretty chilly though; there's Reynaud's in my family too - mother, sister, daughter and me, so precautions are always taken before going out.  Even in summer my fingers will go numb if my hands are wet and I touch something metal and cold (eg a handrail).  But it's nowhere near as extreme as the problem you described, Hosta, with the poor woman who lost her finger ends...  image

Yes, well done Possum.  image  Great to be rewarded for all her hard work.

Glad you're feeling better, Dove; gardening plans are good, but don't be tempted to do too much, too soon...  Hope BL is properly mended too, and that Punkdoc stops coughing very shortly.

    Best wishes to all!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Should have kept my big  mouth shut....snowing now. Doubt it'll lie though, even though the ground's dry. The ski season is getting underway at last up here. They've really suffered this winter with the weird weather.

I think it's an ongoing thing Hosta. I still have lots of poor nights too, even though I now have a bed to sleep in  image

I'm sure Dove would have no knowledge of that Hosta.....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Sadly the area around Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft is currently being targetted by major drug dealing gangs - there's a lack of employment and a lot of poverty and disaffected youth image  Consignments of drugs are sometimes dropped off by boats near secluded beaches,  in weighted containers, with some sort of location identifier,  to be picked up later - however a lack of understanding of tides and weather conditions, particularly in the winter, sometimes results in them becoming 'lost' and then they wash up at a later date. image  A reduction in coastguard services hasn't helped the situation image

  • Just had my third phone call today from the sub continent telling me that there's a problem with my BT Broadband - he refused to believe me when I told him that Virgin cable is separate from BT - you'd think they'd train their scammers properly wouldn't you image

We had a spate of them at work for a while Dove, and had a good laugh at their expense. Not so funny if you're elderly and being subjected to their s**te. image

The best one was the guy who told me the problems with 'my computer' (he got very irate about the malicious threats I was subjected to)  were because of 'my photos'....image

Sadly, I didn't have time to push him further on them. I was going to ask which ones - the gimp masks or the whips....  image  image

  • I tend to suggest that he should tell his boss to do one, and go and find a job that doesn't involve annoying people Grrrrr!!!

When I told the man from the subcontinent that he was not from Virgin, he was a lying toerag, he said that my account would be hacked first!!.

Oh all right then, I'll let you plant malware and pinch all my money.....

The next one I'm going to tell him that I've changed to Yorkshire broadband. I'd like to see them imitate a good yorkshire accent.

Interesting to hear they are the same as the ones we get here. I often put on an "old voice" and say I don't have a computer, so he must be wrong.  They mostly hang up without another word. The other thing I do is just leave the phone on the cupboard without saying a word, so their line is tied up.image

Apparently Australia is breaking all sorts of weather records. At least we are not the only ones. There were reports on TV last evening about power failures because so many people are using too much. Sounds as though they need to think about fixing that problem if we are living in an increased temp climate.

Another thing that's changed is that I was sitting on the toilet and felt something on my leg. Tiny little black ants have started invading the house, searching for water I suppose. Thank goodness for Mortein.

Obelixx, I've never heard that term before. I suppose  that's one positive if there is no cloud, the moon is simply beautiful.

thinking about all of you with health probs. sounds awful.

Time to hang some washing out. Sleep well.
